A student /expat bar… The bar is really in a nice neighbourhood. And the bar is OK. But you notice right away that it’s a lot of foreigners here… It’s not very local. Also the people working here. The food was good. I had a chicken sandwich and they have a nice selection of beer. But it’s just a bar. The interior is OK, but again, already seen it a lot.

Café Plenum is good for different occasions. Lunch, dinner, coffee, drinks! You choose what fits you, they have it all in the centre of sankt hans torv. The atmosphere is very cosy and warm. They have candles on every table and the walls are full of quotes from famous people. I really like the interior, I think it’s very welcoming. There are high tables with stools to enjoy a drink and normal tables for the food lovers. The café works with self service so you need to go order at the bar. The service is very friendly and sometimes they have English speaking personnel. Regarding drinks they have few good tap beers, like No16 and BB wheat beer. The cocktails are ok priced, around 75 dkk, but they are slightly small so I prefer to get a beer. The food is a bit differing. Sometimes it is very good and sometimes it is just ok. Maybe it depends on who works in the kitchen at the time. But the portions are large and you definitely get full. Remember to wear layers when you go to this café so you can take a cardigan off. It is always extremely warm. In one word: hyggelig!

Came for brunch while on vacation. Service is friendly but slow– but then again, haven’t had great service anywhere in Copenhagen so far. Had the pulled beef sandwich… yum! Fresh ingredients with a creamy sauce and surprising ingredients like pickled cucumber, carrots… kinda their spin on coleslaw I guess. Cool café atmosphere for coffee or hanging out.

Best pulled beef sandwich! Creamy with arugula and pickled cucumber. A messy sandwich but worth the millions of napkins you’ll use. You have to go up to the counter to order, but the people are friendly. Nice hipster, coffee shop atmosphere.

Café Plenum is my favorite place for a bit of late night studying, or lunch/brunch with some friends. I only give them 3 stars because it is not my favorite café in the neighborhood, but it is a great study spot in the evening. Their coffee offerings are standard café fare, though they seem to have some intriguing cocktails. Their Danish brunch is also fairly standard, but definitely tasty enough for a return visit. The best part of Plenum is the location and access to people watching at Sankt Hans Torv. Worthwhile spot to hang out, but not an extreme standout. Also, watch your belongings. As another review mentioned, it seems they may have a pickpocketing issue. There are signs warning patrons to watch their belongings. Overall, decent place for a lunch, beer or coffee.

Let me start with what I like about Plenum because I gave it 3 stars. First, it was a convenient place to go after work with colleagues and close enough to my home to be right on the way. There are two rooms to the place so generally there is room for a group without having to wait. They have sit-down tables — which I never have used, and they have higher tables with stools along the walls. Nothing fancy about the place, it’s mainly for beer and maybe something small to eat. They serve grilled panini and typical Scandanavian-level nachos. Perfectly fine to hang out with friends before going out or home for dinner. When it’s nice out you can sit outside and watch the Sankt Hans Torv traffic. What I don’t like about the place is that I’ve been there three times when someone, including me, has been robbed. Once, I was sitting outside with my wife and there was another couple at a table 2m away. The woman walked into the place for a minute and left her guy at the table. She came back and said«where’s my backpack?» Somehow, with all of us there and obviously not paying attention, someone lifted her pack and made off with it. In my case, I was in the place and we had one of those tall tables against the wall near the entrance. I hung my coat on a hook on the wall next to the table. In the coat pocket was my iPhone. I thought it was safe because the only way to get to the coat was to actually push your way between me at my table and the guy behind me at his table. Yet this never happened. Nonetheless, I went to check my phone and saw the headphone wire hanging out of the pocket. Gone. The only person is could have been was the guy at the table behind me. But I had no idea if he had been there the whole time or a different set of guys was there when I arrived. Oh, I tried to confront them about it and probably came near to getting my ass kicked, but I don’t think it was them. People scoping out valuables for snatching isn’t unique to Plenum. I know of lots of cases in other places so I can’t blame the place. Just that I go there more than others. Enjoy the beer, have some nachos and keep good company. Just keep one hand on the things you wanna keep.
