Really fresh. Really good. Had the veggie burrito and it was delicious. There’s a lime sauce that just brings it all together. Highly enjoyable and will try to go back before we leave.

As a Mexican American, I’d say it was decent but no where near traditional. It was a very nice try though. Chipotle style set up. Good staff.

Food is good, typical Mexican style and taste as well. It’s a shame he doesn’t have lunch specials !

Awesome food ! We had street tacos and pork burritos and it was really good. The habanero sauce is really spicy, definitely not for beginners. I recommend

#awesomeoriginalmexicandeliciousrestaurantflavourexplosion That’s about it! ^^ So good! Really small place, seating for maybe 10 people but the atmosphere inside is really unique and original. You can choose from burritos, fajitas or bowl and then choose the toppings meat or vegetarian. Their salsas are awesome too. Great for lunch grab&go or going with friends. Prices are affordable and the food is great! 5⁄5

Great little Mexican place. Build your own burrito or taco, with two good vegetarian options. Only complaint is that our burritos weren’t really heated evenly through so you ran into cold bits which was a bit unpleasant and when it’s busy they are a bit slow to take your order(though the food comes pretty quick once your order is in).

Lovely food, incredible fresh tastes. They use a lot of lime. Fantastic, and large portion. The guys are good fun too behind the counter.

As a Californian, I’ve had my fair share of good(and bad) Mexican food. I can say with confidence this is the best Mexican food in Finland. If they delivered I would probably order it way too often! Great food and friendly service!

Hands down the best Mexican food you’ll find in Northern Europe. Chipotle style, with actual Mexican spices instead of the sloppy joe & Doritos based Mexican you usually find up here. Go Cholos!

Quick, delicious, hot and spicy. One of the best fast food lunches in Helsinki. Cholo is tiny, but somehow we have always managed to squeeze in. Try the vegetarian option, it’s delicious.

Really pleasant surprise. Visiting Helsinki on business, after a week of eating Finnish cuisine was ready for a nonfish, non reindeer meal. This place was a great changer of pace. Stacks up against many mexican places back home in Seattle. Naked burrito!

Pretty damn good Mexican place near the center of Helsinki. Good for a snack, but definitely not if you want a real sit down experience. The menu is fairly limited but its a tiny restaurant and more of a place to get a snack or takeout. The restaurant itself is tiny, and I can imagine it being a madhouse if you go during peak hours. I went with my girlfriend at around 4 and there was only one table left. The burrito I got was big, filling, and really good. I had the beef and chorizo and the spicy habanero sauce. My girlfriend had tacos with chicken tinga and they were also good. The only problem I had with this place was that the spicy habanero sauce was not spicy at all(although for some it may be perfect). A lot of people are complaining about the quality of Mexican food in Helsinki — go eat some reindeer, nerds.

Cholo is the perfect, authentic street food Mexican heaven in central Helsinki. The tacos and burritos are picture perfect. The venue is authentically messy but the food always immaculate. There is always a live so try to visit at odd hours.

I’m really disappointed: I’ve just had veggie tacos(queso y frijol= cheese and white beans) and let me say it was awful. they forgot to put cheese, and it was supposed to come with roasted peppers and they definitely weren’t. those tacos were by far the worst tacos I’ve ever had, nothing to do with real mexican food. I’m actually wondering if the owners have ever tried their veggie options. I hope the stuff that comes with meat taste better. Btw, it’s kinda funny they don’t speak spanish!(at least the 2 guys that were working tonight).

If you’re up for a good and filling snack while being in the center Cholo is the place to go. Owned by the same people that also run Patrona Cholo brings the great Mexican taste now also to the street. And believe me, it is real good stuff. They offer tacos and burritos to eat there or for take away. All dishes rage around 10 Euros, a decent price for what you get. The food is well spiced. Don’t let anyone tell you anything different. This is really a place to try out and come back to. Go for it!

1st attempt: disappointing. First, there were no carnitas. No self respecting Mexican restaurant runs out of carnitas. Loca! Anyway, i got a beef burrito. It was wrong. The beef was not tender. There was a smokey flavour that did not belong which turned out to be some Spanish style chorrizo. It was disgusting. The sauce or the cheese was too sour. There were hard kidney beans which i personally have never experienced in a Mexican or SoCal Mexican-American burrito. The raw bell pepper bits were another nasty surprise. Finally, there were potatoes in it. Imo, potatoes are for filler not for flavour and should not be in such a pricey burrito. All in all, the flavours were superficial and discordinate. There was now deep savoriness. It should have been subtle, rich, and tender, but it was too much work to chew. I thought the portion was more than adequate. I will have to try the carnitas and stay for the tacos. I thought it odd that tacos could not be sold for take away. I will not order the beef burrito again.

I wasn’t sure I would want to eat at a «gangster» restaurant. It was ok. I thought AGAIN, the portions were pretty small. I was again disappointed with Finnish Mexican food. I can cook better in my flat. I invited all my freeing and they agree.

Definitely not bad. I got a monster of a asada burrito for a fair price. The spices were well done and the meat was actual asada style(not ground beef) which is a GOOD thing. The tortillas however, were supermarket package kind. Also, there was a LOT of lettuce and sour cream going on. If you have been to Taco Bell in America, it tasted a lot like one of their more expensive burritos. Yummy but not like Mexican street food(which I basically grew up eating). In L.A. this would not get 4 stars but compared to some of the other«Mexican» I’ve had here it is a BIG step up. Pueblo is still the only authentic place I have found here and definitely the best.
