How pleasant Pohjois-Haaga is, really depends on the specific street. The«good» and«bad» parts can vary from street to street. Yes there are the flavorless depressing high rise apartment complexes, but there are also smaller residential streets with grass and trees, and smaller apartment buildings built in the 50s. Kids play outside, and there are lots of footpaths and parks. These pleasant little streets are more parking lots than anything else, so the order of the day is to drive slowly and weave around the passing cars. 5 minutes away, you have the new Kauppakeskus Kaari. There’s easy access to the ring roads and your choice of train station. Don’t confuse Pohjois-Haaga with the very run down and very depressed Lassila.
