Basic starbucks; full, tiny and kinda expensive but good. U should drink Starbucks-coffee outside, bc there is no place to sit.

Other than the airport, this is the only place in Finland to get Starbucks! Naturally it’s such a happy place for me, many Helsinki & Finland mugs as well! Make sure to get there well before 9, the bookstore next door closes the doors early! Also be sure to specify if you want to have your coffee to go, or else you will get it in a mug!

It’s Starbucks. Very popular spot especially with tourists. Very close to Stockmann and connected with the bookstore. A nice stop for a coffee

I like that there is a Starbucks nearby. They really know how to do coffee right. It is a good standard in almost any city you go, but London sadly. This SB is no exception. They are usually busy, especially during high traffic times. It is difficult at times to find a seat and the lines are long. This shows the demand for Starbucks throughout the world. That means they have good Coffee. In my mind, the best Coffee in the world comes from SB.

Located in the center of Helsinki this is either the only or one of two Starbucks in the country. The staff is friendly and there is a lot of great outdoor seating to people watch. The quality of the coffee/tea is on par with what you would expect from any Starbucks worldwide.

A normal Starbucks, only the cashiers were a bit quiet, but I guess that’s only because they are not used to speaking english

Now I also finally made it to the new Starbucks in the center of Helsinki. Many Finns have waited for the opening of this place for a long time. Now Starbucks coffee can be bough right in the center of Helsinki at Akateeminen. And even tough the café already opened several weeks ago you still have to wait in line for quite a while for your coffee. At least during the weekend. The place is especially popular among teenagers. And no doubt Starbucks Helsinki is a really nice place with lots of seat at the big glass windows in one of the best locations in town. It is cozy with the well known Starbucks style you know from other places around the world. And of course the selection is also pretty much the same as anywhere else. Prices might be slightly higher than what you are used to through. All together it’s a nice place to go to. If you are planning on going try it during the week and avoid the weekends. At least for the next couple of months. Before waiting in line for half an hour or more rather support one of the local businesses such as La Torrefazzione and get an even better coffee with way less of a hustle.

Anyone who knows me understands how important it is for me to start my day with a cup of Starbucks. Until now this was impossible during my visits to Helsinki. Well I’m here to tell you, Starbucks has arrived to Helsinki!!! Hallelujah!!! Like most Starbucks, this one has the standard menu of coffee drinks, pastries, etc. This one also has a decent selection of mugs, cups, etc for purchase(great gift ideas). Where this Starbucks differs is fresh coffee beans can be scooped, bagged and purchased. They have several containers of various Starbucks blends available. They also have the tradition pre-packaged bags of Starbucks coffee available as well. The staff is super friendly. They do a great job of moving people through the line. And there are lots of people to move through. On each of my visits there has been 20 – 30 people in line to buy something. Unlike the Starbucks in the USA, once your order has been placed and paid for(assuming it’s an espresso, latte, etc) you continue standing in line waiting for your drink. No huddling up, blocking the walk way etc. What a great concept! Starbucks, welcome to Helsinki! Just a note, this is my 100th review. And it happens to be the first review for this Starbucks! How cool is that :)
