Tokyo55 has a new sibling — Izakaya, established right next to Tokyo55, that serves really delicious ‘Japanese tapas’. Just to share a few of my mouthwatering favorites Beef Teriyaki, a must try. Try any of the tempuras, the Scampi was really good. Salmon-Scallop Ceviche AND their ‘Japan Junk Food’ section, they’ve got tasty ‘miniburgers’ which were great. Oh, and besides the Izakaya menu, you can also order sushi from the good old Tokyo55, which we did, although our meal from Izakaya itself was more than sufficient. All in all, the concept offers a good balance of everything, nice warm interior and service, accompanied with good food. Food-wise you get to try a lot of different tasty things, the portions are of good size so you can try and share with friends, and won’t be left hungry. If you’re looking for some new and exciting Japanese, try this, you won’t be disappointed.
