I will always have happy memories of this lovely restaurant, as it was where my fiancé and I had our first glass of champagne after we got engaged on the beach in Juan Les Pins! It was a beautiful September day– about 27′ and a gentle breeze. after the shock of the beach proposal wore off, we hit Provencal to celebrate our great news. The restaurant was packed, but luckily there was 1 table left on the pontoon– so we dined on stilts overlooking the Med on one side, and the Belles Rives hotel on the other. The location is just beautiful. Menu wise, the lunch options are very inventive– I had a ‘salade italienne’, and not only was it very large, but the ingredients included complimented each other beautifully. mackerel, tapenade bruschetta, parma ham– all on a bed of leaves, parmesan and lots of other interesting things. really lovely and took me ages to get through it! ‘Fiancé’ had scallop risotto, and the scallops were to die for. We could have stayed for hours but alas had to drag ourselves away to break the good news of our engagement to our friends and family! Cant way to revisit Le Provencal on our return trip to Juan Les Pins.
