* Wonderful slightly hidden lunch spot * From the outside this restaurant doesn’t look like much. But what a lovely little spot. The inside is several small rooms with very bright colours and wooden furniture, as well as a courtyard. It has a very comfortable cheery casual feeling. Salmon is the definite specialty here. The fixed price lunch was a very reasonable 15 Euros and included an appetizer choice(I had a seafood stew with a pleasant smoky heartiness to it), a choice of house wine or bottled water, a main(I had a perfectly cooked piece of salmon with a side of creamed spinach which was delightfully creamy while retaining the full taste of the spinach), choice of dessert(a small cake with a very nice ice cream), as well as tea or coffee. What a ridiculously good deal for such flavourful food. No wonder the place was packed with locals. Absolutely packed. The one amusing dish which seemed very popular yet not something someone from Vancouver would order — they have an «Asian style salmon wok.» Many people were ordering it. But we just couldn’t bring ourselves to be disappointed like that considering the bounty of Asian cuisine in Vancouver.
