This establishment welcomed my female companion and I warmly. We perused their selection and decided on one burger each. One Bacon and one Boletus. Both with sides of fries and tartare sauce. The burgers arrived in a timely manner. We requested them sans pain, sur la salade instead, though their buns did look great and we saw them being prepared in front of us. The meat was cooked to a nice medium, the Bacon was to me a classic combination of flavours that melded together in a familiar and comfortable way. The freshness of the ingredients used was evident in taste and appearance. The Boletus was my favourite of the evening. The Compte mingling with the champignons, basking in the cèpes house sauce. Wow. I recommend this combination. The fries were done to my liking as well. I was happy to see and taste that this establishment’s frites were fresher and more flavourful than many other restaurants use. The salt is of a coarser grain as well. I will return in the future either with my female friend or by myself. Or maybe with a group of friends.

This was an absolutely fantastic burger place! There are both classic burgers and more exciting combinations like fig and blue cheese, and the fries are amazing! Definitely would recommend!

Hidden in one of the many beautiful alleys in Lyon, this place was definitely worth looking for. Cosy atmosphere and great Burgers! Their burgers are tasty, fresh and very big in size, I was unable to finish mine. Their menu had a great variety of different burger dishes, however unfortunately, it was only available in French but it was quite simple and understandable. The staff even offer to translate and describe dishes which I found to be very attentive.

Guy & Sons is a delicious burger place in Lyon. Just really, really good burgers. I’m so glad we found this place. Its a bit hard to find but worth it. Classic burger is the way to go. Add their fries. Get a beer. PERFECTION.

Burgers are very subjective. I like mine juicy but with some crispy grill flavour. This one was juicy and cooked just perfectly and to the point at medium which is what I asked for. The vegetables were fresh and there was ketchup and cheese on my classic burger but no flavours stood out. It just tasted one note. It was fine for a burger just not my style. Fries are extra 2.50 with a choice of a dipping sauce. The blue cheese one is the best flavour. Fries were a bit on the soggy side, could be crisper. This place has two floors and no air conditioning and no outdoor seating. So it was a bit hot sitting on the second floor on a 30 degree day. Staff was super friendly and one guy spoken enough English to answer our questions. Lots of fun pop and hip hop songs playing in English so it felt like I was dining in North America instead of France. It’s kind of like a Brooklyn hipster burger joint. Nice guys.

Why does Guy & Sons get five stars? They make a damn good burger, that’s why. The classic burger is juicy and under 10 €.(Fancier burgers cost more, but not every burger place makes a plain old burger this tasty.) Fries cost 2,50 € extra, but one side was more than enough for two people. Also, they are really nice, and they were playing my favorite tunes the whole time they were there. I heart good tunes. En gros: Je kiffe le burger et la musique.
