Le Relais de la Tour

Steak tartare was awesome and the prices are fantastic! The waiter was so friendly and attentive, even suggested that my friend not hang her purse on the back of her chair outside (be wary of pickpockets in the city!). They also have hot wine (vin chaud) for after dinner — SO good!

This place is so close to the Eiffel Tower so my friends and I decided to come here. Horrible service from the moment we got in. Slammed our menus down at the table. And when we asked him what the special menu was, he said it in a rude attitude as if he was looking down on us. Food took forever to come.
Not only was the service bad, food was horrible too. My friend got a meat pie and I got the shrimp cocktail for starter. Not good at all. We all got steak. Asked for medium. Basically got well done so that basically ruined the dish. Soo I’m not a fan of this place.

Ok, where do I start, this place is so close to the Eiffel Tower, went to have dinner here so as to pass time and see the Eiffel Tower in the dark as it is all lit up and always beautiful after sunset and being in Paris in spring the sunsets were at 9.30pm. The food was delicious, on that particular night we ordered the special which was steak and fries and this was just awesome. Also the waiter was so funny he kept coming to our table to perform these magic tricks which we got caught out every single time and felt like idiots lol. Anyways after dinner we walked to this little park near there where we got a very nice view of the Eiffel Tower and took very nice shots …

While the food was average and the price decent, the waiter was maybe the rudest person I’ve ever met. I was astounded at his attitude: he wouldn’t allow us to wait for our 4^th friend before ordering, he talked smack (for lack of a better word) about us to both the other staff and the people at the table next to us, he rudely interrupted our conversations, and lastly, I am convinced he stole 50 cents from me. We paid our bill in exact change (which I checked to make sure was correct), but when the waiter came over to count it, he hid a 50 cent coin and demanded that we pay more. I did it so that I could get out of there as quickly as possible. I have never been treated so badly at a restaurant.

This was a quick dinner spot during my honeymoon, so I could hurry to the Eiffel tower which was a block away. I was browsing the menu, when the waiter came out and explained their menu quickly. He also gave me a heads up that they were going to close in half an hour.
I quickly ordered their steak platter and my husband ordered the lasagna. The waiter was awesome! As I was on my phone looking at my pictures, he came over and asked if I would like wifi. Thank YOU!!! The food was fine, and he definitely was a great waiter, who consistently checked up on us and gave us many smiles. Such an awesome guy, he was the best waiter I came across in Paris :]
I definitely recommend this restaurant. No complaints about the food, and awesome service.

On a recent trip to Paris, my lovely wife and I took in the sites on the Big Bus Tour and a cruise on the Seine.
After a lot of walking, we were thirsty and hungry but not wanting to fight the large crowds in the bistros and cafes close to the Eiffel Tower.
We headed North from the Port de la Bourdonnais seeking sustenance and a quiet place to sit when we happened upon Le Relais de la Tour. With some distance between us and the large crowds, it seemed like the perfect place for an afternoon snack and a drink or two.
Indeed it was. The waiter showed us to a street side table, quickly took our drink orders, Irish coffee for my wife and a glass of Beaujolais Rose for me. Plat du jour for déjeuner was the ubiquitous Croque Monsieur and Croque Madam with frites, so we also ordered another staple, Oeufs Mayonnaise. Everything was nicely prepared and presented and was tres delicieux.
For a quick lunch, nice food, and a friendly waiter with a big smile who appreciated my attempts at French, we were very pleased and renewed for our walk and Metro ride home.

just arrived in paris, good place for lunch on a nice little street. the server is friendly and funny. food was really good. try the fish!
