38 Eiffel

Casual place to have a late night beer in the outdoor seating after seeing the Eiffel tower lighting. $ 13 euros for two beers. It never seems crowed and the waiters have always been friendly to us. I am a fan

Un service médiocre auquel ajoute des boissons chaudes infâmes.
Après remarque, la serveuse (et sûrement responsable) est très désagréable voir même irrespectueuse. Ou sont donc passer le sens commercial et les saveurs dans cette enseigne?

BEWARE! STAY AWAY!!! Horrible dispute between myself and both our waiter and the bartender (a female) who argued that a stilled water was brought to our table and therefore I had to pay the charge. My dispute was that they never served that still water and therefore I shouldn’t have to pay 6.50 Euros for it. Thankfully, after the whole restaurant (a small bistro) watched and heard the accusation of ‘me trying to lie myself out of a stilled water charge’, the very next table over, corrected the bartender by informing her that she actually delivered the water to her, the wrong table. My disappointment: a ruined night out by a horrible accusation: thief and liar, which the bartender insisted I was until the next table over corrected her memory… sadly so:(

We were staying in the neighborhood (actually next door) and stopped here for lunch and dinner. Nice bistro atmosphere. Good selection of French entrees and wines. We are english speaking Americans and had a great time. Just great to sit, sip some wine, and take in Paris.

Que les choses soient claires, ce n’est pas à cause d’un coup de coeur que nous avons atterri au 38 Eiffel, mais plutôt un urgent besoin à satisfaire (hum hum). Histoire de noyer le poisson, nous commandons un Nestea et une pinte. Les boissons commandées arrivent relativement vite et le service est plutôt agréable. Je pose mes lèvres sur le Nestea et horreur, il est infecte. Je le fais goûter pour m’assurer que je né délire pas et le verdict est confirmé. J’appelle le serveur pour lui demander s’il s’agit bien d’un Nestea à la pêche et né sachant pas trop quoi me répondre, c’est la serveuse (que je soupçonne d’être aussi la patronne) qui vient m’expliquer que je bois un «thé maison». Une carte des boissons mensongère, super ! Ajoutez à cela le fait qu’il faille payer 60 centimes d’euro de supplément pour la pinte (déjà à 8 euros, prix de base) parce que c’est le week-​end et vous obtenez une belle adresse FTG !

Le pub et restaurant s’est refait une beauté ! Le 38 est le lieu où tu peux choisir un cocktail parmi 100 !
La carte est variée, des bons petits plats (je né les ai pas tous goûter mais ça viendra un jour), les serveurs sont sympa, l’endroit est moderne et en même temps soigner: c’est le 7eme ! Les prix sont assez élevés mais le cocktail lors du HH passé de 9,50 € à 7 € donc je recommande !

This was about 25 feet from our front door and tried it. We were not disappointed.
The service was very good and our server spoke very good English. We tried our best with French and he with English. It was a nice experience. I had a lasagna, my wife had a ravioli and my mother had pasta too. All were very good, as was the house wine. It was priced a bit high, but I attribute that to be so close to the Eiffel Tower.
I’d go back for sure, but would try other great places around too.

Great atmosphere and service! Very nice to Americans which was nice, considering we have had a lot of negative encounters this trip. Food is delicious!

Ich war auf der Suche nach ‘nem ruhigen Plätzchen zum Essen, Surfen und Pause machen. Da bin ich fündig geworden. Essen war in Ordnung, Surfen auch.
Allerdings wird’s schnell ungemütlich, wenn die Tür zum Außenbereich mit den Rauchern nicht richtig schließt und ständig jemand raus und rein rennt. Das ist ein lösbares Problem!
Den Tee (aber auch nur den) fand ich etwas teuer. Ansonsten gerne wieder.

This was the first restaurant that we visited when we arrived in Paris and we were not disappointed. From the first greeting when we walked through the door until we left, it was all wonderful. The bartenders and waiters were great and so was the food. We felt welcomed from the moment we walked in. If you’re into seafood I was definitley recommend the escargot, so good. They also have a Canadian flag sticker on their door which made me smile.
I visited this restaurant a second time during my stay and left as happy as I had the first time. I sat on the patio and watched Paris go by and met some fellow travellers. The food is good, the wine is fantastic, the atmosphere is great and the people are wonderful. I would def. recommend this restaurant!

BEWARE!!!
During my recent trip to Paris, we stopped by 38 Eiffel. The food and service were mediocre and average at best. The service at this restaurant was the most disappointing part of our visit. When the bill came they tried to squeeze extra money out of the American tourist. They would tell everyone who was an English speaker that tip was not included and to fill in the extra space on the bottom the bill. Lucky for us, we were aware of the additional VAT that was included with the cost of the meal.

Une enseigne de couleur vert anglais, un décor rustique, un lieu convivial, le tout avec une petite vue sur la tour Eiffel: c’est le restaurant-​pub de l’avenue Suffren ! On y déguste de bons petits plats du terroir avec un magret de canard et une souris d’agneau dont on se souvient pendant longtemps, mais je reconnais préférer y aller pour prendre un verre le soir car à l’heure du déjeuner, l’endroit est envahi par les touristes.
Les serveurs sont très chaleureux et bilingues alors c’est un plaisir de converser avec eux en alternant les deux langues pour s’amuser et vérifier si on est toujours à la hauteur en anglais ! Un lieu que je recommande vivement car il n’y a pas que des pubs à Saint Germain, on en a aussi à découvrir dans le 7e !

Super brasserie, serveurs bilingues, très fréquenté par la population anglosaxonne ! Très bonne ambiance, serveurs cool et dynamiques.
