I walked in cos it’s July 14^th, Bastille day, and I knew many places were going to be closed including my first choice, pierre hermé.
I walked by ph anyways and drats, closed
here, it was on my way back to the hotel and open! sign says closing early cos of 14 juillet but hey, looks pretty on outside.
I greet the sales lady bonjour, smile. nothing
I order some pastries and cake.
just bit into the croissant and it. is. disgusting.
for about a € you can go into any local French bakery, mum and pop type, and get a pain au chocolat, and guarantee it’s 10x better then this crap
they’re also very cheap. they stuff pastries (that’s right, multiple) into the same small paper bag, one on top of another. with the cakes she put it in a box that fits, if she started stacking them on top of each other I would have started a fit
looks are deceiving, I rather have a homey looking spot with delicious flavors then this coloured up spot with bland food
ps, just go to pierre hermé, it’s a short walk away

Great pastries and cakes! The macaroons are so cute, and the cakes are exquisite. Don’t get me started about the pastries.
I came to Paris looking for a great bakery, and this one is just that! The lady who helped me buy things was very friendly. I can only imagine how horrid of an American accent I have when it comes to French, but she understood everything and didn’t come off judgmental at all.
I’m going to post some pictures, because a review does not do justice at how delicious and cute their products are! Will def come back next time I’m in the area!

Very good pastries. Friendly staff.

I am a fan of pastries and almost all kind of sweets. I passed by this Boulangerie and what was on display at the window just brought me inside. The place is so nice decorated, simple because the what makes everything are the breads and tarts and all they have for sell in it. I had one of the «Les Classiques» in La Framboise flavor (I will add pics of it, don’t worry). The taste was amazing, so fresh and so well made.
