Quaint little restaurant located near the Arc de Triomphe. I found it based on other reviews and not a disappointment. Highly recommend a reservation(and they even texted to confirm the day of). The food was amazing — we had the steak and scallops. DELICOUS!!!

Everything was epically amazing. I started with the cauliflowe soup with shellfish. I don’t like muscles and clams and I ate EVERYTHING! It was epic soup. For my main I had the veal medallions. Cooked perfectly and it was scrumptious. Would order both again in a heartbeat. My dinner companion had the escargot which she raved about and the scallops for her main. Clearly it’s a favourite because everyone has written about it and it did not disappoint. The staff was lovely and it’s so cute. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Small great restaurant, with a fantastic menu. Veal medallions with polenta was my choice, veal was cooked just right and tasted great. The crème burleè with a roasted peach and Conac sauce is out of this world. Others in our group had the beef filet and the tuna, which also were prepared perfectly.

I really wish Unilocal gave you the option to award half-stars. It may seem like splitting hairs to some, but there really is a difference between 4 and 5 stars, and many restaurants for me fall within this space. The meal I had at Chez Gabrielle was near perfect, but I reserve at least half a star for the overall ambience. Maybe it’s personal preference, but when we arrived I felt as if we were sitting in a library, located inside a monastery, situated underground. It was that quiet. I almost felt like the other patrons were intentionally whispering because there was an unspoken rule about not making noise. I immediately noticed the lack of background music, and I couldn’t help but feel that a subdued jazz or classical track would’ve added a much needed something. Thankfully, as more tables filled up, the atmosphere livened up significantly and I was able to relax more and fully enjoy my meal, which was superb. Between my husband and me we had the prix fixe menu of the foie gras, scallops and peach dessert, as well as the escargot and sea bass. Every dish was so well-composed, with very delicate and refined flavors. The foie gras was unctuous and rich but the accompanying sweet sauce was the perfect foil to the fatty liver and buttery toast that was under it. The escargot in mushroom sauce was silky smooth and sublime, the textures of the snails and mushrooms played perfectly with each other. The signature scallops had a slightly fruity taste I’d never experienced before. My sea bass was just right, flaky and moist and placed atop a bed of what I think was diced chestnut and some other kind of starch. It was all surrounded by a moat of mushroomy foam. I loved how the flavors of the sea and of the forest married so well together. And of course, the crème brûlée with poached peach put the perfect finishing touch on our meal. Service was friendly and attentive. We saw three parties being turned away after the place filled up — it’s a small space so reservations are a must.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a nice dinner spot! We found it in this cute restaurant. We arrived early and were seated by the window. At first it was very quiet and were were one of the only tables. However as the night went on more people arrived. For appetizers we got foie gras and tartare. I absolutely loved my scallop dish! The desserts were also very nicely presented and tasted good! I recommend this restaurant for a nice, romantic evening!

Small cute Parisian restaurant. We ordered their 3 course menu and I thought it was pretty filing. I thought their foie gras, the house scallops and the poached peach were the highlight of the meal. People tried to speak English to us and were overall pretty friendly.

Absolutely exquisite, five-star meal with tres chic ambiance and service magnifique! The owner was extremely pleasant and friendly. the staff spoke English well. I discovered this intimate restaurant, just steps from the Arc de Triumph, largely thanks to the great reviews on Unilocal! We made last minute reservations and were able to be seated just before closing. We ordered the delicious Prix Fixe Menu, which included their incredible house scallops saint Jacques and A poached peach dessert, which was incroyable! It also came with the foie gras, but this was unlike anything we have in California, as their is a legal ban on the product in the state, and we found it far too rich for our first evening in Paris.

Make your reservation and go! This small, cozy and affordable place is a hidden gem. Everything is seasoned deliciously. Staff was friendly and helpful. This is one of the most memorable restaurants we’ve ate at in Paris. It was sooo good we made another reservation and ate there again for our last dinner in Paris. Don’t miss out. Make those reservations early!

Intimate, charming place with good French food. Certainly better than most of the tourist traps along the main avenues. The scallops and sea bass tartare are winners. The cold cucumber soup with smoked salmon was also very good. Tends to fill up after 8 on Friday and Saturday night. Make a reservation or get there early. Very friendly and efficient staff and service. We spoke to the woman serving us and she gave us a history of the name of the place — think she was part of the ownership. Very nice woman. Highly recommended place.

This was among our favorite meals of our trip. Restaurant seemed busy with Americans starting about 7 or 7:30, probably because that’s when we’re used to starting dinner. This meant, though, that staff was friendly to Americans, very welcoming and accommodating. The place was cozy and we chatted with others seated near us. Amazingly, meals were priced around 22 euros. I had a tuna steak with vegetables, which was a lighter, refreshing meal. Flavors were great. My husband had the steak which came its own little pot of au gratin potatoes. They were rich, cheesy, sinful, and I think we scraped the pan(faux pas? c’mon, we used bread!) So delicious! It was just so nice to sit down and relax after sightseeing(this is really close to the Arc de Triomphe, so we just walked over), to feel welcomed and taken care of was very nice. We declined dessert, having had so many treats during the day, but were still brought a small bowl of housemade chocolate truffles. This meal was really outstanding and we would send anyone here for a great experience. Note that it’s family run and they may be away on vacation at the end of August, as is typical with the French.

We arrived in Paris yesterday and this was a winner! We read the reviews here and selected this place. It is small and reservations are suggested. I had the Bife and potatoes Au Gratin – delicious. Also tried the poached peach – excellent! A good bottle of Burgundy for $ 34 was a value. Great service. Very satisfied.

Very good French restaurant. It’s a small place so make reservations. The food was very good and the staff was very attentive. 1st: foie gras on toast, the foie gras was very good. The toast has a spread that was a little sweet. I prefer savory foods. 2nd: prawns, these we’re perfectly cooked, really moist and tender. 3rd: roasted pork rib on polenta with reduction sauce. The pork was cooked very well, the sauce was great. The polenta was a little overpowering with the strong taste of cheese. 4th: probably the best part of the meal! Crème brûlée with cognac poached peach. This was damn good, almost licked my plate. The tartness of the peach balanced so well with the sweetness of the crème brûlée. The peach also had the perfect texture and the cognac sauce was great. They also had nice wines. If it wasn’t for the sweet toast and cheesy polenta, I would’ve given 5 stars.

We found this little place while wandering in the neighborhood around our hotel(renaissance arc de triomphe) and thought the menu in the window looked appealing and the prices good. This small space is cozy and comfortable, and was full on the Wednesday night we dined here. Lovely hostess and waitress speak good English and were equally welcoming to the mix of tourists and locals filling the place. The wine list offers a good selection, we got a wonderful bottle for under 30 euro. They have terrific fixed priced dinner plans but we ordered from the menu. We thoroughly enjoyed everything. Sea bass tartare and the apple and potato appetizers were excellent, but the cauliflower soup with crawfish was the standout. For mains, the Parmesan cream sauced steak is amazing, accompanied by the most heavenly potatoes dauphinoise. Veal with polenta was excellent too. All the desserts were terrific, we each thought our order was the best! Crème brûlée with poached pear, pear with brioche pain Perdu and caramel sauce, and chocolate cake w choc sorbet. Plus a dish of truffles with the bill. All this with warm unhurried service for 160 euro for the three of us! In addition to being a superb meal, this was a great value. Refreshing after constant«tourist trap» pricing and quality in Paris. Well worth a visit.

Excellent small family run french restaurant near Arc de Triomphe tucked in an alley. Appetizer: Foie Gras-5 star. Tasty and generous portion, perfectly balanced with the balsamic reduction. I could eat this every day but wouldn’t live very long. Main Course: Scallops baked in a mushroom crème sauce – 4 Star. Would’ve been 5 star across the board if they scallops were sweeter or if the chef had seared the scallops before baking it in the crème sauce. Perhaps these were frozen scallops; nevertheless, they were good and the crème sauce was defintely French. Dessert: Poach peach with crème brûlée – 4.5 star. First poach peach ever for me and the crème brûlée was more like a panna cotta-light and delicious. Would defintely come back next time I’m here.
