You know what — this place ain’t the best but I wouldn’t mind stopping by when i’m in the neighbourhood. We sat down for lunch tired and hungry and ordered one Kebab Assiette and one Adana Assiette. The server wrote it down wrong and we received an extra — they took the meat away before we touched it and left us with the ble(wheat) and rice. All their Assiette came with with the proper salads, etc. There’s really nothing to complain about. Typical joint, typical food. Tasty. Why wouldn’t I be a fan?

had the kebab. sooooooooo salty and they’re cheap with their veggies and the meat. the bread is a little hard and is just a roll. it’s cheaper though at 4 euros. their service was friendly but they need to cut back on the salt.

Actually, Chez Yanina should probably get 3.5 stars. Maybe even 4. I’m not even sure why I’m giving it 3 stars instead of 4, but I guess I’m just … not a huge fan of Chez Yanina. It might’ve had to do with my frustrating experience, though. I wandered around the area, looking for food at almost 3pm, after finding out that Les Pates Vivantes(right down the street) was closed for lunch. Chez Yanina doesn’t look very appetizing from the outside, and the store owners seem almost desperate to have us in. They serve food all day. Given the situation, I expected much, much worse. It turns out that there’s a formule for 8.5 that includes a salad, an entrée, and a mint tea. The salad had cucumbers, so I was afraid to touch it, but otherwise, it looked pretty good. I got the greek platter(don’t remember what it was in French), and they were REALLY generous with the meat. I liked the sides a lot, but I personally don’t like lamb and I was a little sad that I hadn’t asked about the meat before I got it. However, that was fairly mild and I almost liked it. One of my friends got the merguez, and I liked that a lot. The mint tea actually has mint in it, and it’s nice and hot. The service is pleasant and the décor, once you get inside, is really clean and nice! I would come back if I were in the area and desperate for inexpensive food, but I guess I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.
