A perfect place to rest your head in one of the most enchanting cities in the world. The rooms are QUITE small, but if you are getting the most out of Paris, you won’t be in them for too long. Perfectly sized for myself and my husband as a babymoon room to visit Paris before the little one gets here. And, as far as I can see, each room has a different décor and theme. Ours was decorated with light purples and greys while another room we saw sported red and black decors. The location couldn’t be better and the price was more than reasonable. Our room looked out over Saint Michel and, in the distance, you could see the Eiffel Tower! It was great to sit in bed at night after a long day of exploring, kick my feet up, and watch the tower sparkle for 5 mins every hour on the hour. Made my trip. By the way, the entry way brings you to the staircase to bring you up to the first floor reception area. Not a problem for us, but if you are bringing a lot of luggage or have health problems, make sure to be prepared. Breakfast is offered for 12 Euro, but we opted to travel around the Latin Quarter to find other possibilities.

The rooms are tiny. The price is VERY reasonable. The location is BANANAS — corner of Boulevard Saint-Michel & Saint-Germain. You are smack in the middle of the Latin Quarter, just around the block from the un-Haussmannized streets of Paris. It’s touristy, but fun to be in the middle of all that. I’ve randomly chosen to stay at several hotels in and around the Latin Quarter on my trips to Paris, and I’m happy that I’ve found one where the location is perfect and the price is an affordable one. There is a staircase just inside the door, and no lift, so if you have a heavy suitcase to carry, be prepared. My travelling companion and I inadvertently let out a very audible«Oh CRAP» when we saw the staircase(because we were travelling for a month and exhausted at that moment), and that didn’t get us on good footing with the hotel staff. If I remember correctly, they did offer to help carry our bags, though! And then we went around the corner and had a litre of rosé at a café, so our troubles were soon forgotten. I stayed here in 2009 and unfortunately have not been back, because judging from the photos it looks like they’ve totally remodeled. I am definitely not staying anywhere else on future visits.

ahhhhhhh Paris… How I miss thee! So had a last minute trip with the boyfriend, and when we landed in Paris we did not have any reservations for anyplace to stay, so we asked the concierge to find us a nice moderately priced hotel near the latin quarter and this is what we got. for 4 nights they gave us a rate of 70 Euro which is well below what they normally charge.(I think they normally charge 100 Euro) The room was tiny, the roof slanted in so you had to bend down to walk in some parts of the room, but honestly you can give me a room the size of my thumb who cares you are in PARIS! Clean room, housekeeping everyday, mini bar with Orangina! yum Staff were typically parisian unfriendly, but helpful when needed. I would definitely stay here again.
