Espectacular! La mejor comida que comí en París y de los mejores restaurantes que he ido, por la calidad de la comida, servicio y precio. Si vuelvo a París seguro que este sitio está en mi lista de sitios a volver.

We loved it here! Family owned awesome people and fabulous food. It was 18.50 for a 3 course meal.

Small and elegant! We had escargot in Paris for the first time here and it was a great experience. You’re undeniably eating a snail but the buttery basil flavor is incredible. The onion soup was also very good, rich and creamy and filling just as it should be. The duck confit was really, really nice. Crisp skin and tender meat and served on a bed of the richest most buttery potato and mushroom fry alongside fried flowers(which sound odd but tasted INCREDIBLE). Two entrees and a plat were enough to share between two people who were fairly hungry. For large parties, definitely make a reservation for dinner.

Very good! Having read the reviews previously, when my boyfriend and I were in the Notre Dame area, we decided to grab an early dinner here. Greeted by the owner on arrival, who served us and was attentive throughout. We ordered from the 3 course menu. I had the snails, duck and apple dessert. All were incredible. Tasty and very well presented. My boyfriend had ordered the steak and asked for it rare, however when it came it was more medium. The waiter didn’t make a fuss about it and brought out a new rare steak no problem. Overall, food was excellent and the price was incredibly decent, considering the area — € 95 euro, both had 3 courses, bottle of wine and a Coca Cola light.

This restaurant is a true definition of a quality French bistro! My meal at this restaurant was hands down one of the best on the trip. My fiancé had the french onion soup and it probably the best he’s ever had. Escargots were delicious as well. I had the fish and my fiancé had the duck and both were solid. We also probably had one of the best desserts on the trip and it was the Millefeuille Pommes carmelized in Kahlua. When we are back in Paris, we will definitely come back!

C’est un vrai régal olfactif et gustatif! Vous êtes accueillis avec le sourire ce qui né gâche rien. Le seul bémol pour moi c’est la déco que je trouve un peu vieillotte avec ces vieilles photos partout sur les murs…

This is definitely one of my favorite places in Paris. Majority of people eating her were locals. I always find that important because if the locals don’t like it, chances are it isn’t authentic or maybe even good. I agree with the general consensus of people, order the onion soup. The onion soup is really good. I enjoyed it because the taste of the onion was more subtle than a few other places that I’ve had it and the cheese was such a great compliment. I’m not sure how to explain the escargot. Did I enjoy it? Very much so! But some one else made a good point, put butter and pesto on anything and it’s going to taste good. Touché sir, probably right, but I did in fact enjoy the escargot. Now, on to the stars of the evening. I had the Magret de Canard and loved it! I don’t care what anyone else says about this dish, it’s fantastic! Do I wish they served me more? Of course, who doesn’t want more finely prepared duck. This piece of duck was cooked to perfection and the sauce complimented it perfectly. Not sure what the little crispy thing was on top but just assume it’s as great as the rest of the dish. Friend had the duck confit and it was just as good. I don’t know if it’s just my way of seeing it but many of this dishes have subtle flavors and textures that really show what french cooking is all about. The service was great and our waitress was very nice and attentive, you know by Parisian standards.

The best French onion soup in the city hands down. We have tried many on our trip this time and it is just the tastiest with everything in the right proportions. That reviewer that was talking about sticks in there was out of their mind. I will be coming back here on many future journeys.

## QUICKSUMMARY ## If you can afford about 30 euro for dinner, just go. Don’t ask. Just go. Make sure you get the French onion soup. Don’t ask. ## REVIEW ## Restaurant has been around for a while and that’s a great thing. It has that perfect Paris feel to it. Just classy. The waiter is amazing. Very patient and genuine. Realized that he is the owner when I saw a younger version of him in a 80’s or 90’s photo hanging on the wall. Went in with a group of 6 on Christmas day. It’s a few blocks away from the touristy streets near the Notre Dame but totally worth seeking out. ## PRICE ## The prices have gone UP. Not as cheap as the earlier reviews. Average price for an entrée is about 25 – 30 Euro. The scallops are 38 euro. Photos of the food don’t do it justice and for the price, food quality, presentation and service, you can’t do better in Paris. We’ve eaten at the Eiffel tower restaurant for 4x the price per person and it doesn’t come close to what we had here.

Nice gem here with great food and a friendly owner(who doubled as our waiter on a slow weekday). I had the pre fixe with Roquefort salad and beef bourguignon. The salad was fab — that cheese was nothing short of amazing — and the beef was super tasty and so hearty that I took half of it to go. I also tried my mom’s goat cheese salad and fish entrée. I forget what kind of fish she had, but the creamy rice side it came with was awesome.

OMGAHHH! This is really as good as it gets. From the outside this place looks just like meh. You come inside and you sit down and this place still looks like meh. But you are greeted by the friendliest people in all of Paris and that’s when the magic begins. I came here around 6 pm for a pick-me-up dinner. I opted for the price fix menu for 36 euros. For my starter I got the warm goat cheese salad, the steak with white peppercorn sauce for my main, and the deconstructed apple pie for dessert. I also ordered the french onion soup for 9 euros. I asked my server to have my steak cooked well done but not dry. In Paris, everyone has been serving my steak super pink even when I ask for well done so my hopes were low. My steak was PERFECT. But let’s back the bus up and start with the starters. My goat cheese salad and soup were served with bread and the cutest jug of cold water. The presentation was tear evoking. It was beautiful. The dressing on the salad was phenomenal but the goat cheese was just average. The french onion soup was so good I want one just as I type this. About ten minutes after my plates were cleared, my steak came. It was cooked to perfection. It came with a cooked squash stuffed with beans. Again, the presentation was great. Then my dessert came and this too was beautiful and delicious. But if I were to come again, I would get the chocolate dessert because cooked apples just ain’t my thang. Then I ordered a café crème to cap off my meal. I ate A LOT so I should have felt sick but I didn’t which is proof that they use good ingredients. My server was so kind. SO so kind. I later found out that he owned the restaurant with his brother. When I went up to pay, there was this big bowl of candy so I went to town with the candy but the server and his brother brought out even bigger candies and gifted them to me. This place is one of the best places I’ve dined at not just in France but in the world. I would highly recommend this place. Sidenote: I saw a lot of people just come and go for a drink or two. This place is a one size fits all. Phenomenal.

The food was excellent and atmosphere was warm and inviting. Lots of people came in and out while we were there that seemed to know the owner so it’s appears this place has lots of regular patrons and I can understand why. Very reasonably priced lunch menu for Paris standards. Highly recommended. We had the goat cheese salad, ham and cheese crepes, beef stew, pepper steak and chocolate cake. All were delicious.

Holy… moly… Had the BEST duck in my life here. Got the confit de canard Madison aux girollex. The duck was so delicious and crispy. The flavor was mind blowing. The mushroom and potato really complemented the duck. The potato was so flavorful, crispy, right amount of salt. The mushroom was cooked to perfection with perfect seasoning. So simple yet delicious. Yes, the price is steep but the duck here is amazing. Also tried the escargot but wasn’t really impressed, they cook it more well done here then other places. Highly recommend for the duck. Get duck dish. I want to go back.

Although I had a solid meal here, my expectations were a bit too high because of all the excellent reviews on here. Here’s what we had: Escargot: Tasty… but who doesn’t love butter and pesto? French onion soup: I thought this was just okay. The onion flavor was a bit weak but the cheese on top was good. Steak: This was decent but nothing extraordinary. Duck: We asked for medium and it came out pretty bloody. When asked about cooking it a little bit more, we got the standard french service… To put it bluntly, the server basically stated that«this is the way French people eat it.» If we sent it back, we would have definitely received extra french ingredients. Apple cobbler: This was pretty good. Probably the best part of our meal. Chocolate cake: This was standard. The presentation was nice but that’s about it. After all said and done, the bill was pretty big after ordering to prix fixe meals and 2 drinks. Didn’t think it was worth it but a lot of reviewers had different opinions. The presentation of all the dishes were beautiful, too bad the flavors didn’t come with the territory. 3 stars.

Based on the reviews and comparing it to our experience, there was so much missing in our lunch adventure. Appears the prices have gone up as we paid 34 euros for the appetizer + entrée + dessert prefix menu. I think this is a good value to sample several items on the menu and cheaper than the a la carte menu. Escargot — great way to start the meal. 6 snails that were hot and served in a rich sauce Duck breast — excellent flavor. Lived up to the Unilocal hype but the portion being only 3 pieces was disappointing Apple cinnamon dessert — nice way to conclude the dinner. The crêpe was average and I would stick with the apple dessert. All this good food so why the 3-stars? 1. Bugs in our water bottle. Not sure how the bottles to serve water are sanitized but at least 2 bottles came to our table with small bugs(possibly fruit flies) floating in it. 2. Narrow walkway that as Americans we felt squished into our table to leave room for people to pass behind us. 3. Staff not being supportive. Our server had every table while the manager just stared at her expecting her to serve a full restaurant by herself so we accepted the service we were given and only requested items when she stopped at our table.

Came here with high hopes considering all the good reviews but left disappointed. My friend and I were on a 2 week tour of the United Kingdom ending in Paris(which is not in the UK but whatever). He had gotten some money from family to spend on a «fancy» meal so we decided to wait until we came to a destination that is known for great food! Picked this place because of the reviews and perhaps we came on an off night — rather when our waiter was having an off night — but it just wasn’t good. Décor: retro, a bit confused who’s who since there aren’t any signs if I recall correctly. There’s a bar towards the front of the place and the space is quite narrow. Wall paper is a peach color. Food: Very good. We tried Escargot for the first time, wasn’t bad and there was a decent amount of them for an appetizer especially one shared. The texture is that of calamari, chewy and perhaps slightly rubbery but well-seasoned in butter and pesto sauce. I had the the beef with creamed sweet potatoes in a small zucchini and he had the duck with some other vegetables which he seemed to like. We decided against dessert because at this point the waiter was extremely confused… Problem: Apparently there are two different menus at this place — one is a prefix with an appetizer, entrée, dessert for x amount and the regular a la carte if you will. I ordered an appetizer(escargot) and an entrée and my friend order his entrée but we did not decide about dessert before we ordered our main dishes. There was a couple next to us that order the same thing as the other off of the prefix menu. Therefore the waiter assumed or mixed the two tables up because the couple next to us had to wait nearly 10 minutes more for the other’s meal which happened twice — appetizer and entrée. Overall, the food was good but the quality of service lacked the same luster.

Saw the great reviews on Unilocal and decided to pop in. Food: Even before we ordered we could smell the deliciousness. They have a 3 course special for 36 euros. We started with the escargot and the French onion soup and also ordered the scallops and the rumsteak for our main course. I am not a huge fan of French onion soup, but this one is truly delicious. The broth is just perfect! The escargot was only ok; some of the snails had unmelted butter inside. The pepper sauce for the steak was so good! We couldn’t stop dipping the steak in it. And the scallops were cooked perfectly, it was a nice light dish. Dessert: We ordered the caramalized Apple Millefeulle dessert. Omg… It was so good, if I could have licked the plate I would have. The combination of flavors was so amazing. Service: Don’t come here if you’re in a rush; typical relaxed French service. The staff was friendly and one of them spoke English.

While in Paris for a few days I wanted to try out a traditional French bistro. Le Bistro du Perigord was well rated on Unilocal and not too expensive compared to other local restaurants, so I booked a table. The food was great, we had the onion soup, which was served in a small bowl, deliciously hot and buttery with pieces of bread within the soup, and then covered in a grilled cheese lid. The escargot was good, served with lots of basil pesto. I thought snails would have been better in just a garlic and butter sauce, as the basil was quite overwhelming and perhaps didn’t complement the snails as well as a simple garlic butter. The steak was wonderful! The business is family owned and run for over fifty years! The staff/owners were lovely.

A quick walk from the Pantheon, this place made for an enjoyable lunch. They do have a lunch menu, but the dinner menu made more sense for us to order from based off of what we wanted to eat. Lunch was like $ 15 Euros or so, while dinner was $ 30 or so. Service– 5⁄5. Absolutely wonderful. The waiter was so unbelievably kind. Food– French onion soup– 5⁄5. By far the star of the meal. My friend had been here in Paris two months ago and insisted that we came back for the French onion soup, so we did. And oh my… it is quite fantastic! No skimping on the cheese or bread here. The broth was so rich in flavor as well. Duck with sweet potato– 3.5÷5 Duck was cooked nicely, but the dish lacked a little excitement to me. Served with violet chips and balsamic reduction, nice flavors but perhaps more rigid«old school» French than flavor. «Selection» of desserts– 2⁄5 I don’t know where the selection went! It appeared to be one composed dessert instead of a selection… a dense, dry chocolate cake served with a nice ice cream and… blue sprinkles. Magenta icing and an amour en cage fruit. Came with an espresso. My friends enjoyed their rumpsteaks very much as well as the apple tart for dessert. Overall, a nice experience. Definitely come here for French onion soup!

This was definitely the highlight of our Paris dining experience. I would recommend either going early(like right at 7PM) or making a reservation. We arrived right at 7PM and were seated immediately without reservations but we saw many other parties that tried to get seats later in the night that were turned away. The prix fixe menu of three courses for $ 28 euros is a steal. Every choice that we ordered was fantastic and tasted much more expensive. They also were all plated beautifully. I started with the French Onion Soup which was rich and full of flavor… very cheesy too. My husband ordered the escargot which was the best that we’ve had – buttery but not overwhelming and cooked perfectly. For the meal, my husband ordered the duck breast which was delicious. The duck was cooked perfectly. I ordered the fish which had a nice grill to the skin and was served with an interesting citrusy creamy sauce in a shot glass which you pour over the dish. Finally, dessert was amazing. I ordered the coffee with petit desserts which ended up being a rich decadent slice of chocolate cake, coffee ice cream, and a coconut cookie(I think). My husband ordered the apple dessert which was beautifully arranged and balanced well. The apples were cooked in some kind of liquor, served with flaky phyllo dough and ice cream. Yum.

What a great find. thanks Unilocal! After walking around Notre Dame and Latin Quarter, this is a great spot to get lunch at a very reasonable price. 12 Euro for appetizer(or dessert) and entrée is an excellent deal. It’s a long narrow small restaurant with maybe 10 – 11 tables or so. I got my table by the door so I could watch people walk by. and ugh. smokers :( Service was so friendly! I was politely asked if I want French or English menu. yes. english please. I ordered myself escargot(I gotta have it while in France) which was not part of the 12 euro lunch menu. Then I ordered vegetable soup and steak au poivre. Escargot was good, but I felt like I had better in the US. My vegetable soup was delicious especially with baguette. My steak was overcooked sadly. Meat was tough and slightly chewy. But french fries was good. It definitely worth the 12 euro. If you are in the area, it’s a good visit!

Totally great! Perfect and right on spot classic French restaurant. Onion soup is fantastic and so different and better than what I have had before outside of France. Duck breast perfectly prepared and plated. Not too fancy but not ordinary either. Classic atmosphere, all the service you need and it’s the real deal.

Deliciosa. Voltaremos com certeza.
