This is my favorite restaurant in Paris! The menu changes seasonally but always features typical french fare. It is inexpensive, has a great atmosphere, and wonderful service.

Great neighborhood restaurant. Low key, nice staff, and not pretentious. Good food for an affordable price(15 euro for 3 courses).

Coup de Torchon was a wonderful classic French restaurant. I can see why tourists would really really like this place. The space is very cozy with a dimmer setting, very nice in the evenings. The tables are close together. It really is the French experience. I went one evening with a friend’s family who was in town, as it is one of her favorite places to take friends in town. On the menu are all things classic from seafood, to steak haché to duck. The appetizers are original French ones like chèvre chaud, salads with shrimp and avocado as well as millefeuilles. The food is good, but not necessarily high quality or unique I would say. Something about it seems simple and a bit too ‘pre-prepared’. I had the confit de canard and it was delicious, but there was no little something extra. The potatoes were simple(always good, but unique added value). However, it is not overpriced and is a great place for the family. There were many expats/tourists in the room, speaking English, so I am assuming this works well with that crowd, and the menu certainly has something to please everyone. The wine menu has some nice selections and the waiter we had gave very good advice in accordance to what we were eating. I will say that I had one of the best crème brûlées I have ever had here. Reservations are highly suggested.

Une gentille petite cantine. Ce n’est pas cher et le patron est très sympa. Les plats sont plutôt convenus et sans grande originalité mais bons. Le point noir? Le café: le robusta le plus infâme de Paris…
