A Turkish restaurant. I had cacik, the Turkish version of tzatziki and a chicken dish with yogurt. The food was well prepared and tasty. Service was efficient. A good choice even though the place was almost empty.

We stayed right near this place and got to observe that it was usually pretty empty. Friends liked it, and it wasn’t bad at all. The service was a little surly, which was surprising, because we were one of 3 parties there on a Saturday night, and one grouped seemed like they knew the owners. One member of our party really disliked his lamb dish, but the rest of us were happy. Baklava was darn good (when have you last had bad baklava, though?).

Tres bonnes viandes, dans un endroit simple. Le seul soucis c’est quand meme le manqué d’efforts dans un quartier où il y a de très bons restos. (Accompagnements et service (le jeune qui s’en fout))

I can’t quite remember what I ordered (probably a kabaab) as I was here about two years ago, but I do remember that it was really good.
Protip: Get a Kronenberg 1664 with your meal. Delish.

Really nice, sort of French-​Turkish restaurant. I had a delicious vegetarian main course, and my husband liked his meaty choice, too. Décor was lovely, not overdone but candlelit and romantic. If I’d eaten here more than once, I’d probably have the confidence to rate them 5 stars instead of just 4. On corner of St-​Jacques and Rue des Ursulines (it’s wrong on the map; should be 2 blocks up).

Le Risale est une bonne surprise. C’est un joli restaurant-​bar où il fait bon s’arrêter. Les spécialités turques né sont pas toujours aussi réussies qu’on aurait pu l’espérer, mais il est possible néanmoins d’y trouver son petit bonheur. Merci en tout cas à cette équipe d’animer ce coin de la rue Saint-​Jacques. Tickets restaurants acceptés.
