I’m in Paris for two months doing an exchange program and this place has become my favorite breakfast spot. Initially it was hard to find places near me that served eggs so when i found this place I was excited. I’ve gotten the omelette and the coffee there and they’re both delicious. I highly highly recommend this place for breakfast/brunch, fresh tasty egg dishes with delicious coffee. The décor is super cute as well. The only downside is the wifi, as a visitor, I depend heavily on restaurants with wifi and this place has but it never works.

Not sure how the rest of their food is, but you cannot miss for brunch. Great menu including a prefix brunch with enough food to feed an army and its all really good. Seriously for 24 euros, a basket of delicious fresh breads and pastry, OJ, Coffee, eggs benedict, salad, and pancakes-all fresh and delicious. My wife and I also got a bottle of champagne and made mimosas which are the staple of any good brunch! Server was really nice which always helps! I would not be surprised if we end up there tomorrow.

Cute friend bistro right around the corner from our hotel! The place had cute décor with mirrors on the ceiling, white, pink, and black décor. There’s an outdoor patio and indoor seating as well. Great sandwiches, food, drinks and wine. We got some sandwiches after a day of eating and drinking we ordered some sandwiches and my husband got the a heavy foie burger that was flavorful too. Simple place for a nice long casual meal. They have a lot of desserts but we were too full!

Down to the earth café. We dropped by for breakfast because the café was one block away fro our hotel. Would recommend this place.

Found this place on Unilocal with my wife and we are sooooo glad Unilocal exist, without it, we definitely would’ve missed out on this place. The setting is very nice, you can eat outside or inside, the staff was very friendly and attentive to our order. My wife got the chocolate milkshake and I got a café frape, both of which were amazing. The prices for the sandwiches were a bit more expensive than I thought, so we just got one club saumon sandwich and we realized why. It came with a small serving of a salad and some good olé french fries. The coup de grace was the sandwich, which hit the spot, it was made to perfection; from the cucumber, cottage cheese, and other ingredients which surprisingly complimented the salmon when I took my first bite. The only reason why I was skeptical at first was because of the level of rawness the salmon was. I’m pretty sure it was either lightly toasted or lightly smoked because it was a good shade of pink. Unless you’re a salmon addict like I am, I would try a different sandwich.

I came here with a friend for breakfast/brunch. She had a croissant and coffee, while I ordered a hot chocolate and the chicken club sandwich with fries and salad. The hot chocolate was out of this world and the sandwich was excellent. My friend ordered two croissants because they were so good. Nice atmosphere but the the kitchen doesn’t open until 10 am so no chance of hot food until then!

My husband and I split the chicken sandwich, soup of the day which was vegetable soup, and espressos. The food was delicious, service was great, and the serving sizes were very filling. We left full and satisfied and we’ll be back to try some of the amazing deserts that had :) Recommendations: –Chicken sandwich: hearty and came with a small dish of French fries and salad. –Vegetable soup: purée of vegetables with a sage flavor that was so comforting for a cold winter day that came with tasty croutons and a roll. –espresso: delicious, strong, full bodied

We’ve been here twice during our Paris holiday for breakfast. We tasted a variety of things. Croissants, pain au chocolat, pin aux raisins and fresh juices or teas. All were really tasty and the service was very nice. The place seemed to be a family owned place which made it much more special. The language was no barrier as when instruggled to say something in French the lovely lady switched smoothly to English so i could finish my order. Will definitely visit next time when I’m in Paris.

i love lacombe! there are not a lot of cool cafes in the area that have great ambiance and also not $$$. therefore, lacombe is my go-to café. nice terrace, relaxing jazzy playlist, fun pink flower branding, nice waiters, yummy food(scallop ravioli, croissants, quiches, omelets…) and free wifi. what could be better! no snooty attitudes here, just come as you are and enjoy. i will miss this café when i leave.

Dommage!

If you find yourself in the Champs Elysees area, just past all the craziness, this is a nice place to have a bite to eat and a glass of wine at a reasonable price. The croque gentillome was one the best we had in Paris. They also have a nice selection of wines – I had the sancerre blanc for 6 euro. Seems like a lot of locals were there for brunch. I wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way to return, but if I was in the neighborhood on a weekend, I would love to try their brunch menu.

Had breakfast here today, at the suggestion of our hotel concierge. The Good: * Amazingly friendly waiter. In Paris that makes all the difference. * Cute restaurant, love the décor. * Good location — close to the Arc. The Bad: * Brioche was dry and not tasty at all. * Baguette with jam was good but nothing to write home about. * Coffee was VERY bitter(maybe this is just a matter of preference?) * 2 sunny-side up eggs were fine * Prices…30 Euros for the above is reasonable I guess. But I could have eaten at Paul for much less and I know I would have enjoyed it more. The Bottom Line: The croissants look delicious so if that and strong coffee is your thing? Then a visit to Lacombe might be in order!

Wow, I should have found this place earlier during my trip to Paris. On a corner, just a stonesthrow away from the Arc de Triomphe, there is Maison Lacombe. A small patisserie and café with a very cosy athmosphere inside and nice Jazzy lounge music to wake up to on a lazy sunday. The staff is very friendly and can speak English, which comes in handy if your French is bad like mine is. Go for the brunch menu, it will fill you up for the day!

Cinq étoiles? Pourquoi? Maison Lacombe may not very good coffee(it’s Paris), or even the best food, but it’s getting five stars. Why? Everyone was very sweet, they like dogs(not all places do), and most important of all, it’s an actual wifi café in Paris. One must understand how rare this is, outside of(blecch) Starbucks, a place to do work where it doesn’t seem out of place. And for my writing ritual(espresso, cake, work), it’s perfect as the homemade cakes, though not as fancy as Hugo + Victor or Pâtisserie Des Rêves, are delicious, subtle and solid. I went way out of my way to go there each day, and highly recommend.
