After walking up and down the St Germain looking for a meal after 14:30 :/, we found this excellent café/bakery located on the St. Germain, where everything is fait maison. We bought two sandwich Parisiens and a Religieuse. Everything was absolutely magnifique. The service was very kind and so was the décor of the café. Great for lunch. Croissant looked amazing as well. I’ve returned there since as my go to when walking around the city.

I came here only to try the éclair that was voted one of the best. There was only chocolate(which I am not the biggest fan of), so i guess my review is a bit biased. The chocolate was also more of a dark chocolate which I hate even more. But the éclair shell was good. Moist, not too thick, not too thin and the chocolate cream was jam packed inside. If i was a bigger fan of chocolate I would give them four stars. But for the best eclairs in paris, just go to fauchon: D

I came here today because of the review. The food was good except the drinks were warm and they didn’t have any ice to compensate. They heated up my mom’s quiche, but wouldn’t heat up my salmon. It was served cold along with rice. It was good despite that. The desert was good too. The place is small and not much aesthetics. It’s a good place to go on a budget or to get it to go.

We ran into this wonderful bakery while walking to the museum. It’s a small storefront with four small tables out front. From the outside, you can see a display of their mouthwatering pastries through their windows. The cashier was extremely friendly, offering explanations of everything in English, and even explaining their combination deals into English, as well as all of our options. I opted for the plat du jour, plate of the day, with salmon and shrimp over rice. It was moist and oh so delicious. Totally what I needed after our ridiculously long walk. We also had some espresso along with some tarte desserts. Everything was just very tasty. The tartes were not too sweet, like I was afraid of. The espresso was the strongest(in a good way) that we’d had in France yet. My plat du jour combination included a side bread, dessert, and drink and cost € 12.50. You can’t beat that for a filling but light casual lunch with lovely outdoor seating.
