It is just an oyster bar, not sure if they even have a real kitchen. Other than oysters we ordered the fish soup which they just scooped out of a big pot, and sea snails which were also pre cooked and out of the fridge. I doubt if they freshly make anything there. Not a good choice for a satisfying dinner.

It would difficult to give anything but 5 stars at this gem. It is a small restaurant but it adds to the dining experience as you get one on one time with the owner. We came just for a quick dozen oysters but ended up shutting the restaurant down. The owner is a delight and quick with a joke. He speaks very good English and will tell you about the variety of oysters and how they’re graded and help you pick a variety for you to try. They offer Italian food options as well as a variety of seafood(shrimp, salmon, sea snails) and the recipes are ones handed down. Save room for the homemade tiramisu. Once our friends arrive, we’re taking them here.

Best seafood I have ever had in my life. I am from Boston US so I have tried many seafood restaurants, this is the BEST. No fancy stuff, but fresh oyster, sea snail, shrimp, salmon… love everything! Will come back for sure!

Best oysters I’ve ever had! We let the waiter pick an assortment and we’re not disappointed. The restaurant is small, clean, and minimalistic and the waitstaff is attentive and friendly. This is a great stop for a quick snack and a glass of wine! Definitely recommend.

Stumbled upon this eclectic spot. Service was awesome. They spent a great deal of time describing the oysters which were scrumptious. Outstanding quality. Good drinks. We are a family of Americans and they treated us with politeness and patience. We’ll be back for sure.

I found this place on Unilocal and all of the reviews are accurate. The seafood is incredibly fresh and delicious. The oyster bar itself is tiny without many tables but totally worth the wait if you have one. The owners are a husband & wife team. They are friendly, helpful and warm. I highly recommend eating here in Paris.

The best food and experience in Paris! The oysters were fresh and delicious. Like nothing I have ever tasted. The small quaint atmosphere with the knowledgable owner served us with pleasure and was kind and pairing with my college freshman(Michigan State University) and me. We had 4 different oysters, incredible shrimp, escargot, one of a kind fish soup. We then had a simple but palette pleasing cheese plate with arugula. The Parmesan with pink pepper was fresh and delicious. We then had indescribably delicious tiramisu. The final chapter was the lemonchello Made special by his Italian wife. I don’t think we could have had a better meal anywhere in the world.

On a recent trip to Paris, my lovely wife and I planned to visit Notre Dame cathedral and vowed to climb the 387 steps to the top of the South Tower, regardless of the sometimes horrendous wait times outside. As luck would have it, we arrived on a beautiful October morning with a wait time of under 45 minutes. Bön chance! Our reward for that wonderful experience came with another planned destination, Opium La Cabane. Since I absolutely love oysters, it is a month with an «R» and those oysters come from Normandy, it is a relatively short walk from Notre Dame to the Saint Germain-des-Pres district on the Rive Gauche. After winding our way through some gorgeous Parisian streets, we found Opium and were promptly seated in the front window seat by the warm and friendly chef, who thankfully spoke English but who also was happy to engage in some French conversation with two Americans in Paris. We ordered two glasses of champagne as we looked over the menu. On the chef’s recommendation, I asked him to choose four each of today’s oysters, being particularly interested in the lovely pousses en claires(the speciality). My wife, not being an oyster eater, opted for the smoked salmon plate. These were, hands down, the best oysters I’ve ever seen or eaten, and I grew up on the East coast eating them every chance I could get. The chef also showed me that the adductor(where the oyster is attached to the shell) acan be carefully removed and tastes like a sweet scallop, something I’d never done but will from now on. These combined East Coast brininess with West Coast melon-like flavor with a finish of sweet butter. Oyster nirvana! The smoked salmon was delicious as well, smooth and buttery, and served with pink peppercorns, cherry tomatoes and multi-grain bread. Both of our plates were cleaned. The owner happened in as we were finishing and offered me a beautiful No. 2 pousse en claire which looked to me to be about 1⁄3 of a cup in size, but I had to decline as it would have put me in an oyster coma. A wonderful experience all around, and one we’ll definitely repeat should we find ourselves in Paris again. Merci, Opium!

Upon discovering La Cabane, and the owners knowledgeable advice and top shelf products, I went 4 times in 3 weeks. Yes, it’s that’s good. Be sure to get the incredibly tasty appetizer plate before the oysters. They have the sweetest shrimp, homemade mayo, and incredibly delicious«bulots». Come by yourself, come with a friend. Even if your friend says they don’t eat oysters, you do and you don’t want to miss it. Tell Pascal and Veronica I said Bonjour!

This place has an amazing selection of oysters. I am a big fan of oysters specially when they are freshly shucked on arrival and served beautifully with nothing but a wedge of lemon. The owners here are lovely people and they speak great English. This place is an oyster bar that serves fresh oysters daily. They have a few nice cold meats besides oysters and home made tiramisu. They have a very small selection of wines to complement the oysters. If oysters are not your thing don’t bother going here. This is a Mecca for oyster lovers and you won’t be disappointed. I will come back here in a heartbeat for fabulous oysters when in Paris.

Une boutique de mode pour toutes. Isabelle, la vendeuse, a le bon oeil et le bon conseil, elle parlera certainement votre langue. Quel plaisir de recevoir un accueil aussi chaleureux a Paris.
