I called in after visiting the Penhaligon’s location in le Marais, which was out of the perfume I’d been sampling. When I went back to visit, the man who had originally given me the sample said they were out! I asked about ordering it, but he said some stuff about shipping to the US and conversion that pretty much talked me out of it. So, I didn’t. It’s odd, though, that he didn’t mention there’s another shop near the Jardin de Tuileries! After googling, I found this shop, called, and said in French, «I can’t understand French well! I have a lot of questions! Is it okay if I speak in English?» It was the end of the day and my brain was fried from the constant translating. No problem; the man on the other end of the phone was so, so nice. I desperately wanted this scent to take back with me as a souvenir. He was super patient and when I finally arrived the next day, he was so sweet and patient and didn’t switch over to English when I told him I was trying to practice my French(as Parisiens had been doing for the duration of my trip. And I truly get why!). We had a nice conversation, he taught me some new words and gave me LOTS of samples and I was on my way! Both my experiences in these shops were easily the most pleasant I had in my two weeks in Paris, and the fragrance gets compliments everywhere. The shops themselves are well designed and unique. Next time I’m in the city, I’ll definitely be back for more.

This store has the most wonderful fragrances! I was overwhelmed. In many of the perfume stores I visited while in Paris there was an «old lady» smell that I couldn’t quite get passed. The fragrances here are vibrant and current, not an ounce of «old lady» smell at all! I purchased a lavender scent that I have worn almost every day since my trip. I want to bathe in it. It’s so lovely! I will now be researching how to purchase this wonderful brand in the states!
