Paul and Paulina were outstanding! We’ve done a few walking tours this trip and Paul weaved the perfect balance of anecdotal and historical accounts into the tour. Paul and his wife Paulina were amazing! This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Paris. We learned a ton of history and all kinds of info on how to navigate Paris like a pro. I would recommend doing this tour early in your stay, because you will get so much great knowledge that will help you out while you see the sights on your own. And book early! It is free so it fills up quickly.

I cannot adequately express my gratitude for the welcome we received to Paris via Wego Walking Tours. This husband and wife team make the history of the city come alive. Yes, it is a lot of walking but most of it is very casual (there are only a couple of «power walks» to make it across a couple of wider streets in time). There are a few opportunities to rest and lots of time standing and listening to interesting facts about the monuments and locations. Paul is very energetic and engaging. He had very good tips about many things! Paulina, his wife, is quieter but her wit is sharp and she is very sweet. I would recommend this tour to everyone who is coming to Paris for the first time of fortieth time. It’s a very fun way to spend half of your day! I would also recommend trying to make it happen near the beginning of your trip. You just might change part of your itinerary, as we did. We fit in Les Invalides (Napoleon’s Tomb) simply because Paul made it sound so cool. He was right! Thanks, Wego. I’m glad we’re family now.

Excellent walking tour of the major Paris sites ending at the Eiffel Tower. Nice fast pace. Energetic guide was Paul. Excellent for my first trip!

I recommend doing this tour before you do anything else in Paris. Paul is enthusiastic and animated, and he gives both great information and funny bits of trivia and story telling along the way. It’s a perfect mix. He and his wife are so excited to share their city and show it off in its best light. You can’t help but love the place when you’re walking with someone who takes such joy in sharing it with you. He also really encourages tour-​goers to meet and mingle along the way, which was lots of fun because the tour attracts people from so many different places. Highly recommend.

Fun, entertaining, and informative. This tour gives you the broad strokes of the all history the city has to offer along with recommendations on where to eat, what to see, and how to avoid tourist traps from a long time Perisian.

Great tour! You don’t actually go into any of the museums or attractions but you get to see where they all are, and get a history lesson in the process. Paul is very energetic and knowledgable. If you are on the fence about doing the tour just do it! You will be glad you did!

Went on the Wego Walking tour on 12÷13÷14 with Paul and his wife. We started at Notre Dame and spent 3.5 hours walking all the way to the Eiffel Tower seeing and talking about all of the many sites between the landmarks. Paul provided tons of interesting information about Paris history and also shared all kinds of secrets about getting around and enjoying Paris. I still cant believe it was a free tour. I would recommend to anyone visiting Paris especially people visiting for the first time. 40 euro tip was worth every penny.

Do this tour the first day you get to Paris. It is a good overview of the major sites. Paul is really enthusiastic and really knows his stuff. If this is your first time in Paris this a good way to to orient yourself to the major sights. This also a good time to take your pictures. I highly recommend this tour to all. We met people from all over the world. One word of caution, make sure you wear some good walkers. There are cobblestones in certain areas and places where if it has rained it will be muddy. I would not recommend any shoe with a high or skinny heel. Even though this a free tour don’t be a cheapskate. Paris is expensive and this will be the best value for your dollar (excuse me euro) you will get while you are there so tip accordingly. One more thing– If your lucky Paul’s wife will be along for the tour. She’s also a pretty neat person. Have fun!

Been on many city walking tours. Paul is by far the best I’ve experienced. His enthusiasm, humor, and knowledge made the tour most enjoyable and informative. Wish I had done it on my first day in Paris.

Energy, knowledge and enthusiasm are my key words to describe Paul.
I really, really enjoyed this three plus hour walking tour. I learned so much and still can’t believe the tour is free.
Anyway, my recommendations are to stay close to Paul, he has a lot of interesting stories about Paris and current events that he discusses with anyone who asks. You won’t hear them being in the back. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, Paul’s got answers. Finally, tip generously. I gave a 20 euro tip (just for myself) and I’m not sure that was even enough. Paul puts such passion into this tour, he really deserves a hefty tip, especially since you’re on a free tour.

Paul was super energetic and informative throughout the whole walking tour. He has great stories and knows his history. This is a great way to start a Paris trip and get a taste of some of the main attractions.
Only tip I can provide is to ask lots of questions. Paul knows lots of stuff and all you need to do is ask. We suggest walking near the front to hear all the side stories Paul has.

Paul was great, an excellent tour of Paris in perfect English. Plenty of stops, good local knowledge, and both funny and informative.

It’s a free walking tour with an amazing tour guide. Our guide, Paul, was awesome. He is extremely knowledgeable, full of energy and really excited to share the history of Paris. He was literally jumping because he was so excited.
If you were like us and didn’t really put the research in before your trip, you should probably book this walk on your first day because it gives you a good feel for the major sights as well as good tips on places to go.
The other thing we liked was just the general advice on people to avoid, who was going to be mean, or where you shouldn’t spend your money… stuff like that.
While it is a free walking tour, by the end, you will definitely want to make sure to compensate him for his time. I’d view it more of a try it before you buy it walking tour.

Our tourguide Paul was so informed about French history and totally entertaining! We learned so many things about Paris that we would have never picked up on our own. My 18 year old son is really into history so he loved the tour too and he also thought Paul was really cool! It was one of the best things we did in Paris! If you only have a few days in Paris, this is a great way to see the city. If you have an extended stay in Paris, do this first and then you can decide what to go back and spend more time on. A fantastic tour and we highly recommend!
