Le Bistrot à Vins

Le patron n’a pas de réel connaissance en vin, la carte pour y être retourner a plusieurs reprises né change guère, des vins souvent déjà connus, pas de grande surprise… L’endroit pourrait être sympathique mais encore une fois le gérant cultive lui une certaine antipathie… Dommage, ça pourrait plus agréable.

A nice little wine bar in the middle of Salon-​de-​Provence with a nice selection of wines, champagne and other alcohol as well as a small antipasti meny.
There are a couple of tables outside as well as a couple of tables inside but if you have the possibility — choose a table outside. It’s very dark and strange inside.
The staff are kind, helpful and attentive. We ordered a bottle of wine and a salmon antipasti and received a nice starter containing bread, tapenade, lilac potato chips (no idea what these were though) and saucisson while we waited for our order.
The salmon antipasti contained a very tasty salmon paste, a couple of pieces of ginger bread, smoked salmon (they apparently smoke the salmon on their own!), butter and regular bread.
My overall experience at BV was positive but came to an abrupt end when we wanted to order two glasses of rosé — the waitress just said «no, because we’re closing, someone called the police» or something like that and that was the end of our visit. Oh, well.
I will definitely be coming back during my next stay in Salon and can easily recommend it to others, especially if you’re interested in local wines!
