Five well-deserved stars for this antique jewelry store with a great collection and super friendly owners. Since most Berlin jewelry stores didn’t really offer what we were looking for, we decided to find something more classic and traditional as a wedding ring for my soon-to-be wife. Even though we’re probably not the most everyday people walking into that shop, the two men working there were really friendly and helpful in finding what we did not even know exactly what we were looking for. With plenty of beautiful(well-documented) rings(great high-res pics on their website by the way), we selected a few top candidates, gave it some thought(read: came back three times because we couldn’t pick one; I nearly bought two just to be done with it) and finally bought the perfect ring. Within a few days it was re-sized and ready for pick-up. The prices are good. Keeping in mind that the gold price went sky-high recently, and the pieces they sell are of excellent quality, prices are more than fair.

I bought a 1920 circa ring at Rheinfrank in Berlin. This place is cool if you want to buy one of a kind, antique piece. The displays are greatly layout and the owner was nice. You have to buzz the door to go in but you don’t need a special appointment. The only reason why I am not giving it 5 starts is because the selection is not as big as I was expecting. However, you instantly feel comfortable and you know you are an a legit establishment, which you need when you are going to buy vintage pieces. Old school with rolodex to find the info on the jewelry. Don’t expect a lot of certifications on the pieces.
