Leckere Pizza und freundlicher Service. Pizza und Salat optisch und geschmacklich sehr schön. Das sardische Bier hätte genauso kühl sein können wie das Veltins. Für meinen Geschmack zu helle Beleuchtung, aber ansonsten gemütlich eingerichtet.

It took us 45 minutes for the appetizers to come out. And 1 hour and 49 minutes for the food to come out. Waiters r not organized at all. 2 waiters serving over 15 tables att he same time. But the food was amazing. I had the Quattro formagee pizza. The best I have ever had. Better than the one in Italy. My husband had the salmon linguini and he loved it. Hope they do something about their service. Cuz they deserve 5 stars.

Italian food done extremely well! I went here for lunch and got the delicious linguine with salmon and saffron sauce. Fresh produce, warm atmosphere, friendly and competent staff and at a fair price. I will be coming back at the first opportunity, but next time I’ll aim for dinner time rather than lunch so I can sample the extensive wine offering.

We were visiting Heidelberg for the first time and after Oktoberfest all week and great Bavarian food and beer wanted a good pizza and bottle of wine. We found this restaurant and walked in. Outside tables were full but we got a cozy spot near the window despite not having a reservation. The staff was helpful and took time to help us with our nonexistent German. We had the spicy pizza that had both real pepperoni and hot peppers and it was fantastic. Crust was as good as I have had anywhere and the cheese and sauce balanced well. Would recommend this place to anyone.

This place is delicious! They made my pizza wrong by giving me chili peppers instead of pepperonis but I wasn’t about to complain! After all, I am in another country…(I am American) and was down to try anything! I just was craving pepperonis so I just went ahead and bought salami next door at the grocery store(I got the pizza to go). The pizza was delicious! I can’t thank the lovely girl who helped me and explained the menu. This place is really good! The people who work here are all very nice and welcoming! I highly recommend! This restaurant provided me with the best pizza I have ever had, makes me wish there was one of these in California. Good job Zafferano! Keep up the quality food and amazing service!

I visit this italian restaurant on a regular basis since the opening a few months ago. Excellent pasta and pizza, nice down-to-earth atmosphere. There is also a store where you can buy wine, olive oil and a variety of type of cheese.

Normalerweise habe ich eigentlich immer etwas herumzumeckern, ich möchte mich aber in diesem Fall meinen Vorrednern anschließen und das Zafferano aufs wärmste empfehlen. Wir waren kürzlich zu dritt dort abendessen. Zunächst fällt die gelungene Mischung aus Gaststätte mit Verkaufsraum auf, die Einrichtung ist sehr nüchtern und gleichzeitig gemütlich erstaunlich. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilft auch gerne, wenn man bei der großen Weinauswahl einen Kompromiss aus Anspruch und Geldbeutel finden muss. Entspannt, gut gelaunt, fix, kompetent was will man mehr? Zum Essen hatten wir drei Pizzen und ich kann nur sagen, dass alle drei wirklich sehr gut geschmeckt haben. Dick belegt, knusprig, ausgewogen gewürzt, fein. Abgerundet haben wir den Abend mit leckerem Espresso und sind danach sehr zufrieden gegangen. Fazit: Toller Service, schöné Atmosphäre, guter Wein und leckeres Essen hingehen.

Ich war gestern zum ersten Mal im Zafferano und kann mich den anderen nur anschließen. Das Ambiente ist sehr angenehm(klein und familiär), das Personal sehr freundlich und die Pizza sowie Antipasti außerordentlich. Ich habe bisher keine bessere Pizza in Heidelberg gegessen, dafür wirklich ein Lob! Die Preise sind für das, was geboten wird, genau richtig und jeden Cent wert. Auf jeden Fall ein absoluter Tip, auch wenn es nur für was Kleines zwischendurch ist. Und wer sardinische Spezialität kaufen möchte, ist hier ebenfalls goldrichtig(Pasta, Weine, Spezialitäten aller Art, Käse, Fleischwaren).

Ich war bereits öfters im Zafferano, und gehe auch immer wieder gerne hin. Ein schönes Ambiente für verschiedenste Anlässe: Ein leckerer Espresso oder Cappuccino auf dem Weg zur Arbeit, ein ausgiebiges Dinner mit Kollegen oder auch eine gute Flasche Wein zu zweit, dazu eine Käse– und/oder Aufschnittplatte. Toll finde ich auch, dass Angebot an sardischen Spezialitäten, die man nicht nur vor Ort genießen kann, sondern auch zum Verzehr mit nach Hause nehmen kann. Für Liebhaber Italiens ein echtes Schmuckstück.
