The premier German institution for science of the solar system. The institute and its scientists are respected internationally. Now for the cafeteria: They serve lunch between 12 noon and 1pm. The salad bar consistently sucks. They have daily specials and the quality varies widely. Examples — — Moroccan-spiced lamb chops(excellent, but offered once in a blue moon) — Germknoedel(eeeeww) — Baked head of cauliflower(looks like some blonde dude’s hair got burnt) — Breaded fish fillets(usually on Fridays and quality is consistent ok. The cafeteria also serves breakfast from 9 to 10am. The belegtes brotchen are decent. The coffee from the WMF machines taste so-so.
