Arentinian beef, interesting wines, prices too high for ambience level. The German reviews largely match my impression. Concept is Argentinian style steaks and burgers, with a nice selection of interesting Argentinian wines. So far, so good. The restaurant is in a former pub and the biggest problem is that the renovation efforts fell short of disguising the former use. The furniture is dingy and old-looking. The floor tiles are a disaster. It looks like it was installed in the 1960’s with tiles leftover from a Bundeswehr barracks. I understand that new restaurateurs don’t always have the budget for major renovations but you simply can’t offer high-end beef and high-end wines in a decidedly low-end ambience. It just doesn’t work. To the food: Interesting wine list a tad over-priced. We only had burgers which cost over EUR9.00 with no sides. The burgers were ordered medium and came well done. Either fire the cook or hit him in the head with a frying pan. If you serve me a well done burger I won’t be coming back. Period. Pomme Frites Belgian style were actually brilliant but cost EUR3.60 extra. Restrooms also desperately in need of upgrade. Conclusion: with a bit of effort and investment could easily be a four star. Ambience needs serious upgrade. Cook needs to learn how to coook a burger medium. For EUR9.50 there should be at least one side(smalll salad maybe). No need to hurry back here.
