Walked out of there! Came in today Monday night it was not busy at all! The waitress wanted me to sit at the sushi bar we had 3 people. I asked to sit at the table I had a baby who just got over being sick and didn’t want to sit around other people. She said the table was for large parties. They were closing in an hour so I don’t see why we couldn’t sit at a table. So my husband and I walked out and we DONOT plan on coming back there! I will go to sushi rock or Benii from now on.

Your Filipino waitresses were extremely rude!!! Don’t talk shit about your customers in your language and expect them not to understand. Learn some respect and read up on how to give better customer service. I will be sure to tell everyone about my unpleasant experience.

Sushi is okay at this establishment. Prices do vary from the color plates. Most plates are 2 pieces each. If you took 2 of the blue plates. That would be the same price as a full sushi roll at some other joints. And that would be 6 – 8 pieces depending on what type of roll you get. Choices are not vast and they are limited.

This restaurant is a family favorite. I’ve been going here since I was a little girl. I have never been disappointed. Inl often see Chef Luther nowadays because thenother chef has gotten much older and is the sweetest old man. The wait staff is amazing as always and the food is awesome. Not many places will allow you to order with no rice, but I’m glad this place does. It’s comfy and ideal for couples or even families. They’re always trying something new and love taking suggestions. The only downside is that it can get crowded on some days and the wait time ranges from 20 to 30 minutes and it’s not really in an area where you can just sit and wait. The best days to go are weekdays or call in advance to reserve! This is my go to sushi bar and they have a wide selection of cold or hot sake.

Came here for lunch two months ago. Potion size was good for the prize per plate. Food tastes really good. One sushi master making the food in front of everybody. Wait was not very long. You can make requests and he’ll make it right away.

I’ve been coming to this place since they opened and I never get tired of it. The sushi chef makes the best tempura sushi. He also provides awesome service by remembering all our orders without writing it down, and delivering our food in a timely manner. Our server, she’s been there forever too, was the best. Everything we needed came right out. She was very nice and paid much attention to us. I felt like we were the only customers in the restaurant. Other sushi restaurants are expensive, but Tairyo is definitely better priced and tastes just as good as all the others. I’ll definite be coming back soon!

There used to be three rotary sushi in GUAM. One is this, the other is in Holiday Inn(now closed) and the other is in Rotary Sushi beside port of mocha in front of Guam Reef Hotel. By far this is the best place for you’re sushi and needs. Location: Situated in Blue Lagoon. Right past subway and Brix Pub at Tumon and beside Kai Japanese Restaurant. The place for me is just about right for a rotary sushi but can do with some more theme decorations to attract more customers. Price: Like all rotary sushi restaurants, the plates are the ones that you need to look around. The white are for $ 2 a plate, the red are $ 3 a plate, the blue plate are for $ 4 and there are days when you see the Gold for $ 5 or $ 7 i think but those are rarely seen. The usual are the $ 2 and $ 3 plates thats why you love this place. I usually get full on just 4 – 5 $ 3 plates. So that is like $ 15 plus 10% service charge. Quality: Overall food is great. I’m not sure though of how authentic it is for Japanese but my wife and I have been eating at this place like always. Whether I went to lunch and then back again for dinner, I don’t mind. That’s how good the sushi are. Favorites: Must try baked Spicy Mussel, Order the Calamari(its not in the menu but its there and you can order it), pepper roll, and tekka handrolls Experience: You seldom have foodtrips selection in Guam and by far this is one that fits the budget, enjoys the sushi and satisfies your cravings. Itadaikimasu!

Really low-quality food. The fish used on the sushi was very, very dry. The rice was also some what old-tasting. It was probably sitting out for hours. The pricing is also bad for what they give you. Honestly, this is an island. Is it difficult to provide FRESH sushi for customers? I definitely will not come back here. I paid about $ 30 for 7 plates of sushi. I can get 7 plates of higher quality sushi in Portland, OR for half the price. Don’t bother with the sushi here, go somewhere else!

Easily the best sushi and rotary sushi I’ve had on Guam! GOHERE for awesome nigiri, if you’re a sushi purist. Sure, when we went, they were out of a bunch of types of fish, but it was a slow weekday night, so we understood. Regardless, what they did have was wonderful. In particular, we enjoyed their uni(sea urchin), the pepper roll(creamy and jacked up with spices), engawa(fluke), katsuo(skipjack tuna), and a bunch of shellfish, like awabi(abalone) and hokkigai(arctic surf clam). The service was friendly, as were the sushi chef, who was responsive and quickly made us whatever we asked for. Not to mention, the premises are clean and inviting. When I opened the door, I felt like I was stepping into a kaiten-zushi joint in Tokyo. When a sushi place is clean, you feel like you’re in good hands. Gotta love the fact that’s Tairyo’s open late, too, for those late night sushi cravings.
