Great brunch! Eggs Benedict were one of the best I’ve tried! Ordered yummy fruit salad with vanilla yoghurt which was very good. Liked the fresh vanilla seeds in the yoghurt. And the pancakes… Fluffy and beautifully topped with fresh fruit. Tasted vanilla and you could choose a side of ice cream. Next time I’d like to try the lobster roll or one of the flatbreads which looked amazing when I was sneak peaking on others tables!

Came here for their lobster eggs benedict and it didn’t disappoint! Although the portions are on the smaller side, taste wise everything was on point. The lobster wasn’t over cooked and eggs benedict were nice and gooey inside. Overall it’s a cute brunch spot located inside PMQ, perfect to do a little walking around after a Sunday brunch comatose!

Very cool spot. Chic, hip, darkly lit, friendly staffed, you could do worse. We came just for nice cocktails and the staff was very friendly to tourists and we ordered some excellent drinks. A nice space to relax after a long day of walking in the city. The food looked amazing too, and if we had more time, we would have ate for sure, and I may have to come back. But for drinks alone, I say it was a win!

Exceptional food, great drink options(good quality wine list and good craft beer selection). If it’s cool enough then definitely try and sit out in the balcony. It’s pricey but it’s worth it and it has a great atmosphere, although I think his depends on where you sit and I’ve always been very lucky.

There are 2 parts to this establishment — the fine dining bit upstairs(which I had initially wanted to check out) and the bistro bit downstairs. The bar downstairs was well stocked as you would expect of an Atherton establishment — good selection of cocktails on the menu. Nice vibe and ambience overall — pretty relaxed. The serving staff though seems to be going through the motion instead of genuinely making customers happy(I noted more enthusiasm from several staff outside the nearby bars enroute to Aberdeen). The«bistro» food selection can be improved. The truffle popcorn sounded interesting and indeed the sweet-savoury flavour was fascinating — worth a try. The flat breads were rather bland with a few sprinkles of topping — disappointed. The hoisin duck salad was ok but a bit dry unless you drench it with hoisin sauce, which is served right out of the bottle. Also, if you are not a rocket fan, avoid the salad. The jewel in crown was the whole roasted barramundi, which was beautifully cooked — a must try. The orange carrot cake dessert can be missed. Overall an OK experience downstairs — not a lot to shout about in terms of food — there are other independent restaurants in the neighbourhood with much better fare. Recommend to head to ASS(downstairs) for the ambience and cocktails before dinner. I haven’t tried the fine dining upstairs — could be much better. In comparison to Atherton’s Ham & Sherry and 22 Ships, this falls into 3rd place in that order.

Visited for their upstairs brunch expecting the bee’s knees given the reviews and unfortunately was disappointed. We ordered the eggs benedict and iberico ham and chorizo flatbread — everything was very underwhelming in flavor and came in tiny portions, therefore overpriced as well. Service was average too. Went another Saturday for their all-day dining in the downstairs bistro. Turns out even though they call it their«all-day» menu, they only serve it after 3:30pm on Saturdays. Me — what is the difference between your downstairs and upstairs menus? Staff — Oh, it is a completely different menu. Me — So you are serving your all day dining bistro menu now? Staff — No, we don’t serve our all day menu, all day. We are serving brunch now. Me — Which is a different menu than upstairs, you said? Staff — No, it’s our brunch menu(which is actually the exact same brunch menu as upstairs.) Me — ??? And even though their downstairs is considered«all day casual» they don’t do take-away. Seems like they have some issues to workout, the first fixing their website so they don’t mislead customers who take the time to come all the way to their restaurant only to leave completely disappointed and completely confused.

Had the greek yoghurt for brunch with home-made granola. Got a tiny bowl on the side with a big bowl with granola and berries. It was all very dry. My friend ordered the eggs royal, got a sad plate with eggs and salmon on a stale piece of bread. Not going back. Staff friendly and place nice though

Although trendy and pretentious, Aberdeen Street Social is a really cool place to hangout. They have a patio and balcony, which can be enjoyed during the milder months. Their drinks are unique and pretty(alcoholic and non alcoholic versions). They also have some cool bar snacks such as truffle popcorn! I haven’t tried their actual food, but I hear it’s really good. Lastly, this restaurant /bar is right at the entrance of PMQ which has a lot of cool boutiques, restaurants, and bakeries to check out.

I was in Hong Kong on business, and we are here on the last day of our trip. Located at the PMQ, easily one of the best places we ate an a great find. We are in the upper room which was dark but warm feeling, and a bit loud. There is also a down stairs and a patio that each feel a little different. Outside would be great on a good day. For opening, I had the pumpkin soup with walnut and feta. It was very well done. While some places would try to over do the nuts and cheese, the was proportioned just right. Next was the entrée of lamb neck. Very good but I did find it had potential to be more. Even then nothing was left on the plate. Lastly was the yogurt and granola dessert. Beautiful presentation and very much enjoyed. I definitely recommend this when in Hong Kong.

BRUNCH review only. Accepts reservations. Love the outdoor seating option. Went on a Saturday ~12:30pm. Only brunch menu, no lunch options. *Ordered the British Bloody Mary served with a mini egg on toast. 4 stars. Delicious. I ordered the Crispy Prawn and romaine sandwich(128HKD), which was just OK. Served with an aioli without much flavor. Served open faced but had another piece of bread, well buttered. Literally one slice of romaine topped with the baby shrimps. My friend ordered the Avocado on Toast with 2 eggs(88HKD). Avocado mashed up guacamole style. We also shared the Tomato Mozzerella flatbread(98HKD), which was fine. Nothing special. Last item to come out. Nice selection of desserts and you can preview them all inside the bakery. My friend had the lemon cake(15HKD) which she enjoyed. FWIW, few friends have been for dinner as well and said they like it more for the atmosphere versus the food.

This place reminds me of the New American restaurants in NYC with tastes of various twists in western style cuisines. It has a bit of a British/Indian flair to it. I can’t seem to quite pinpoint what it is but you know what I mean when you check this place out. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The service was very nice and the food was very tasty and unique. You know you will have an awesome dinner when you get a nice and warm piece of bread to start off. No joke! If the bread is cold or stale, it pretty much ruins your appetite… but that’s just me. I can never turn down warm(and crusty) bread. Ok enough with bread… For apps, we ordered the raw scallops with wasabi purée, ravioli pork, and the pig’s trotter. My favorite was the raw scallops. I usually don’t eat a lot of raw stuff but these scallops were fresh to the core. The wasabi purée definitely adds a bit of a tang to it. For my entrée, I ended up with the duck breast with Earl Grey tea purée. I didn’t really taste much of the Earl Grey but the duck breast were juicy and tender. It was perfect! I can’t remember what we ordered for dessert but on top of that, they gave us some complimentary confectionary marshmallow and chocolate bites. Next time, I want to come back for brunch!

I’m a little bit obsessed with Aberdeen Street Social and have been three times in the last week alone — twice for drinks, and once for cakes from Sweet Social, the retail shop/bakers which sits on the lower floor of the duplex. The venue is such a fantastic addition to PMQ and the setting is truly unique. I especially love that the windows have been kept in the style of the building — old school Hong Kong metal frames that remind me of my school days. So charming. Drinks wise, I love sitting out on the lower terrace. I generally like being able to chat over an evening drink but Hong Kong bars can be so loud and brash that even hearing yourself think isn’t an option. Aberdeen Street Social is nice and relaxed however and perfect for a catch up over a glass of wine or one of my two favourite cocktails — the Spanglish and the What the Doctor Ordered. Let me talk you through them: the Spanglish is light and boozy but perfect for slow sipping whilst the What the Doctor Ordered is punchier with a strong dose of ginger. It’s the presentation I love most about the latter — it is served in a medicine bottle with an accompanying ‘doctor’s note’ that has been personalised by the staff. Cute! Bar snacks are also available — I’ve tried the Salt and Pepper Squid and Chorizo and Iberico Flatbread, both of which were yummy. I’ve also eaten in the more formal upstairs dining room three times so far and have loved it without fail. On my last visit I took my Book Club girls and tried basically everything on the menu. My personal faves are the Roasted Quail to start and the Ox Cheek with Bone Marrow for the main course. You can usually bet on me ordering the chocolate dessert under any circumstances, but in this case, I can’t get enough of the Apple Pear which is so beautifully presented that I can’t even begin to describe it. Interestingly, the ‘Carmelita’ apple cake from Sweet Social is my treat of choice from downstairs. Aberdeen Social is good for pretty much any occasion and I’m looking forward to checking it out for brunch next. Definitely worth booking and a great option for visitors if you’re showing them around PMQ and SoHo.
