Markham, Canada
Department store style. Sell everything from sofas to stationary to groceries. They carry a bit of everything, so don’t expect to find lots of variety of a specific type of item. Prices are competitive with other stores though, and if you have a member’s card, things can be much cheaper on sale. Days when there are extra member’s discounts are way more crowded, although usually only in the supermarket section.
Their staff are not helpful and are also very few in number. They seem very reluctant to help out and are not that knowledgeable about the products they are promoting/​selling. Overall, good to get quick shopping for many different things done, or to check the market pricepoint for multiple things at once.

Hong Kong
An extensive supermarket, and pretty much anything else you could be looking for from TVs to chopsticks, slow cookers to gold jewlrey or suitcases to pillows — this place probably has it and trading cards to spare.
Probably best avoided on special ‘festival’ days (special shopping days for cardholders), but hard to know what those are until you rock up — and then can’t move without jostling someone!
The crush usually isn’t so bad on the upper floors, ie away from the actual supermarket, so if you do get caught — my advice is ‘in, up, out’ as quickly as feasible.
