Such a huge variety of things — stationary, clothes, supermarket, TV’s, shoes, packaged foods. There are very few staff on hand to help out, and I’ve seen many of them on their own phones at work too. They also seem rather unwilling and not too knowledgeable about the section/products they are selling. The quality of products sold here are also fairly poor. The price is comparable to other stores, but the quality typically is lower, likely to make up for all their variety. Another issue is that they usually have few sizes available, which can be frustrating while shopping for clothes.

Didnt even stock matcha kitkats, or Jp bath sponges – in a way, a novelty but at the same time, their inventory could be sooo much better. I like that this even exists in Hong Kong, but there’s room for improved inventory. A so-so layout as well. The food sold looked ma-na

APITA is bit of a microcosm of shopping in Hong Kong in general. That is, it is certain to have what you need — but you have to know where to look to have any chance of finding it! Ironic. Basically, you have to scope out the entire store(all four floors of it) when you don’t want to buy anything, and commit it all to memory, to know exactly where to go where you are actually after something specific. I mostly buy kids clothes, shoes and swimming gear. Oh yes, and extremely random/bordering on inappropriate t-shirts to send mates as gifts. The shop itself stocks everything. And here I do mean everything + the kitchen sink! And prices are good. Groceries, toys, stationery, beds, other home ware and TVs are in the basement. Children’s wear and sports gear on ground(as are those random t-shirts, handily positioned to pass on the aircon’ed route home). Ladies clothes and accessories make up most of the rest, but really there is so much choice that I find it difficult to see anything. There is also a café on the ground floor — Pokka Café — that I keep forgetting about when looking for somewhere to eat in CityPlaza.
