I have to warn you… FOODPORTIONISHUGE! I got the chili burger and it was bigger than my face. Plus the burger came with a mountain of fat cut fries(love!) which i couldn’t finish. A very rare occurence. We also got the jalapeño popper as appetizer, which was also generous portion of six huge poppers served with cheese garlic sauce. It was delicious. They have great beer selection too! Many I have not tried before and mostly from UK. Highly recommended for a simple place for non-pretentious quiet dinner and affordable drinks.

Not a bad little pub in Wan Chai. I ended up popping in here a couple times. The owner is very nice and they have a good selection of drinks and beer. The place is rather small, but with the windows open it’s pretty nice to have the airflow. I was here in the winter so it wasn’t hot by any means. I just had a few drinks, no food.

Very local British pub-ish and relaxed. Not annoying at all like many of the other places around here. Nice owner proprietor dude. The beer was perfect as well. See them again tonight.

The Blue Goose is a great little British pub in Wan Chai. Perhaps somewhat overlooked because it’s not on the main strip with all the girlie and other bars, it is located up along Lockhart Road towards Admiralty, opposite the American Peking Restaurant. The interior is a little cramped but done up like a traditional pub from home. Perfect for a homesick expats! Word of warning, they don’t run the aircon, preferring to throw open the front doors on to the street and running fans, so whilst it looks like England, it feels like Hong Kong! The menu is extensive, with a great selection British pub favourites like chip butties, pies and curries. There’s even a small Filipino selection. Drinks are plentiful and reasonably priced, and as with nearly every bar in HK, there is a happy hour. The owner/manager Colin is very friendly and attentive, running the bar near single handedly. There is also an excellent quiz night on Thursdays.
