Hong Kong is filled with delicious dessert stands, and this one is no exception! Café Aboong serves DELICIOUS ice cream fish buns(a Korean street food). The ice cream was more like fro-yo, and had a kick of lemon to it! On the stick are two chocolate-covered grapes– that was an interesting(to say the least) taste. The grapes were there for more of an aesthetics appeal than for true goodness, at least in my opinion. There is a choice of red beans or custard inside the fish waffle bun. I chose the custard, and it was pure creamy, warm deliciousness. The custard is in the tail part, so after all the ice cream. Tip: Eat it fast! Take your pictures quickly! The bun comes out VERY hot, so the ice cream melts quickly, and the bun gets a bit soggy as well. We came late in the evening(~9pm), and the wait was roughly 5 – 10 minutes. There was a little crowd outside, but nothing too bad. Although I’ve heard that during the daytime, the wait can be quite long — so be wary, but it’s so worth it! If you want to go on the hunt for a sweet dessert, this one is it!
