Great view! The menu is varied and seems good. I ordered a tapis platter, which was good sized. But the flavor profile was not to my liking. I think this is a personal preference issue, as the quality and presentation was good. I would come here again, but for drinks.

The Café Deco is located in the Peak Galleria. The location is prime, they have 2 floors with a huge window front facing Victoria and Kowloon. When the weather is good you have a great view on Victoria Island and Kowloon. Especially in the evenings this is even better! The lights are always dimmed in the evening which makes it an intimate atmosphere. They also have a balcony to sit outside if weather allows. The setting is simple elegant, service attentive and friendly. You would expect this place to be very touristy but the crowd is mixed with a lot of locals coming here. They have a decent wine list covering all parts of the worlds which suits every budget. Their drink list is extensive with good choice of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Food served here is international. They have several stations including a tandoori oven, oyster bar, sushi counter as well as a pizza station. I like their freshly chucked oysters which come from all parts of the world. Their grilled meats are cooked to perfection, tender and juicy. Don’t forget the tandoori dishes, freshly prepared in the tandoori oven, really great. If you’re not stuffed yet, they have a great selection of different desserts. The Café Deco may be expensive but excellent value for money.

Bad service, Asian waiters pretend that they don’t understand Cantonese despite the fact that this restaurant is in fkin Hong Kong. Multiple missing orders, and two items that we wanted were sold out even though the restaurant was less than half full! Dessert was pretty decent though.

With a free afternoon before flying home from a business trip, a group, of U.S. Decided to visit The Peak and grab some lunch. Café Deco was the recommendation of our hotel concierge so we set off for the view and food. To enter the restaurant you have to enter the mall and go to either the second or third floors… I recommend the third floor and asking for a tableau the far end of the room to get the best views of Hong Kong from this beautiful vantage point. The menu has an eclectic mix of Indian, Asian, American, and British foods as well as beers and ciders. We started off with beer and a pear cider to cool off after walking around the hot and humid afternoon. Having been e joking local Asian fare during the week, we opted for some different flavors and ordered a club sandwich, fish and chips, and Himalayan chicken. The club sandwich echoed home, the fish and chips were just like we get in the UK and the Himalayan chicken was tasty, but the naan was the only part not up to par. They offer a fixed price menu for those that want a three course meal and it was pretty reasonable but there were only two choices for each course and we were swayed by the menu items we ordered. If you’re looking for comfort food from back home, stop on in. Enjoy the views and relax over a pint or two.

meant for eating with a view, although it’s slightly obscured even when you’re out on the patio(not quite expansive enough)

Great views and wonderful food. The Himalayan chicken and the Singapore style noodles were delicious.

Came out to one of our old time favorites, Café Deco. Haven’t been here in years. Came up for a set lunch. The place wasn’t crowded at all so we got a great table by the window. The food was great as always, BUT, I’m giving two stars for this visit because of the very poor service. Even though the restaurant was nearly empty, it was very difficult to find a server to take our drink order. The food took a long time to arrive. And finally it was difficult to get someone’s attention to ask for the check. They would just look past you and avoid any eye contact. Very disappointing. Come on Café Deco, you are better than this.

Ordered the Oyster Pyramid, Fois Gras Hand Roll, Proscuitto Pizza. Sea Bass tandoori I recommend a must for Fois Gras Hand Roll and the Pizza. The oyster combo is award winning but seasonal.

You’re paying for the view but it’s a pretty darn good view. You can opt to sit inside the beautiful, art deco style restaurant or right outside they have lounge chairs where you can enjoy a drink and some apps. I only came here for drinks and appetizers and everything was pretty good. The food is a mix of many cuisines. I had some raw fish and it tasted fresh. The portions are small so prepare to fork out some money.

Now, I really like big open restaurants, and this is such a rarity in HK, especially around Soho, where they cram in 17,000 diners into a venue the size of a phone-box. How pleased am I that I have now discovered Café Deco in the Peak Galleria? Happy enough to swing a cat around, which would be amazingly easy here(just a turn of phrase before I get lynched by the animal lovers)! The restaurant is extremely large, covering two floors of the Galleria. Most of the tables are placed along the floor to ceiling windows, and offer amazing views across Hong Kong. They have a generous terrace with dining tables, and the same amazing views. For the parents, there is a kids area, but no changing facilities in the gents toilets, only in the ladies. However, in the gents we do get a bathroom attendant, a dear old fellow who is generous with the paper towels. The food is pretty good. The menu is rather eclectic, covering Western, Indian, Japanese, American, Italian, and local seafood. There isn’t a great deal in each section, but enough to choose from. I had a rack of ribs that was large, tasty and quite reasonable at HKD238. The burger was around HKD170 and very tasty and well prepped. Other highlights were the dosa(Indian pancake), and the moules marniere, which was mistaken a number of times for margarita pizza. On the topic of service, the staff were friendly and courteous, but not the best at understanding, especially given that we were in such a tourist hotspot. The service was a little bit slow as well, it seemed that only designated people could do designated things, so if you asked the incorrect person to order, they would have to find the right person, you get the idea. However, they were like hawks when it came to fixing problems. We ordered some fries for a kids meal, but they came a bit over salted. Just as we were discussing whether or not to send them back, the waiter was already there offering to replace them with his apologies. That’s the way I like it! I thoroughly recommend Café Deco, the food is not the absolute best ever, but really very satisfying. The venue is large and spacious, has amazing views, and after your meal, there is a lobby area where you can enjoy coffee or digestifs.
