I travel frequently and am a member of Planet Fitness, which offers ½ day passes to California Fitness in Asia. The California Fitness gym in Causeway Bay refused my PF id card and insisted I travel, and produce my written contract, or else «log into» my account. They are so clueless at the Causeway Bay gym they think the PF chain has log in access.
This never happened to me before in all of Asia. The snarky front end help called the manager, who agreed with her. I asked to see the manager to speak with him and then she switched her story saying he was not there — even though she had just used the front desk phone to call him.
The day passes must still be paid for in cash. This is not looking for a freebie. These people have terrible customer service, outdated and insane rules and conditions, and untrained and clueless staff. This is absolutely a gym to avoid at any cost.
