Craving for the iconic HK style street snacks, but don’t want to drag yourself to the city. This location works perfect for me. I honestly come here once a week if I am in Hong Kong. The owner also owns the domestic helper agency on the other side. Super friendly and treat my kids with candy or snacks sometimes.
The lady who spends most of her day turning the heated iron as she makes their delicious waffles — Jumbo or traditional sized Waffles 格仔餅 (with condensed milk, butter, peanut butter, sugar), and of course Eggettes (Egg Waffles). The Eggettes were super crunchy on the outside, soft inside and with balanced sweetness, tasted just right. Try the jumbo waffles, they are bigger than most of the street waffles in Hong Kong. It’s like eating a super sized breakfast waffle but with your hands.
There is also a noodle bar for 車仔麺 with beef brisket, tendon, stripes, chicken wings, fish balls, and a few options for noodles.
Rice rolls are amazing there, mixed sesame sauce, hoisin sauce and soy suace. I usually add some spicy curry fish balls and fish siu mai. It’s like a dream breakfast on the weekend for me.
They also serve Taiwanese bubble teas and soft drinks.
Like most eggettes vendors, it’s best to just take away and enjoy your snack on the way to your next destination. There is a small table with 4 seats. Most of time it’s not too packed. You can sit down and enjoy your noodles or rice rolls.
