Culture Club is a bar in Soho that my friends used to frequent a lot mainly because of its inexpensive shisha. Their shisha is $ 138 and coal refills are free and unlimited(some places charge $ 30 or more for refills). They also have a variety of flavors such as apple, strawberry and grape. However, in our experience, all the shisha flavors kind of taste the same — they all just taste fruity and don’t taste much like the flavor itself. I wouldn’t say the shisha here is very potent though. The drinks at Culture Club are not bad, but the menu is quite small so options are limited. The drinks are not too strong alcohol-wise. One of my favorite cocktails on their menu is the Apple Sour — it’ very refreshing, though slightly stronger than the other drinks. I am not really a fan of their mohito as it tastes too watered down and doesn’t have much of a lime taste. Culture Club does have pretty good food though — it’s overpriced in my opinion but it is in Soho, so that can’t be helped. Their mozzarella sticks are amazing — served piping hot and golden fried. One thing I don’t like about Culture Club is that it doesn’t have a very good ambience. It isn’t a popular bar and I’ve been there a few times where we and one or two more tables were the only customers in the bar. There was even once that at one point, we were the only table in the bar and this was at around 10 or 11pm! This was a bit creepy and made the bar not seem very ‘legit’, and I guess the manager knows that there isn’t much customer demand so there was only one server in the bar, and he walked in and out of the area many times for a smoke break and therefore there were times where we couldn’t get his attention.
