Dear Restaurant

I had an fried egg, grilled tomato and a deep fried hash brown, w tea for 28HKD, which is under $ 4USD. Ultimately a light breakfast, and a tasty one. I wish they had condiments –hot sauce for the egg, ketchup for the hash brown– but that’s just nitpicking.
Service was prompt, location is comfortable and the music is soothing.
After 11:30, they close the breakfast menu and open up for afternoon tea.

I was looking for a place for breakfast and the hotel concierge suggested this place. He said he wasn’t aware it until a hotel guest told him about it. It was only a couple blocks from my hotel, but I walked right past it at first. I was looking the name above the store front, however it isn’t there.

SERVICE: Pretty typical «Chinese style» service. Where as they come take your order quickly, the food comes out of the kitchen pretty quickly, but generally not very attentive otherwise. However you just need to get their attention and they come over quickly. They won’t bring the bill until you ask for it, but this is pretty typical in Asia. Also, there is no service charge.
FOOD: The breakfast menu is not huge, just 10 items, but they offer a number of ways to customize your order. Prices are very reasonable, ranging from HK$ 20 to HK$ 58 ($ 2.60 — $ 7.50 US).
We both ordered the omelette with tomato, onion & bacon (HK$ 32 — $ 4.25 US), I with hash browns
and my friend with beef satay
The omelette was pretty tasty, but the filling was a bit different. Picture thin sliced ham diced and in a kind of somewhat sweet tomato-​y, but not tomato-​y sauce. When you order a drink with your meal it’s just HK$ 3. However if you want a refill, expect to pay HK$ 20 ($ 2.60 US) more.
OVERALL: Great Western and Asian breakfast options at very reasonable prices, in a comfortable, inviting setting. Definitely recommended for travelers staying in the Sai Ying Pun /​Sheung Wan area!
