Dr. Sunny Cheng – American Dental Group

This was about as pleasant as a dental visit can get. I saw Dr. Chang — he was friendly, patient, and extremely thorough. I haven’t been to the dentist in about a year, so I appreciated the time spent on the exam and cleaning. But be prepared, the initial consultation and cleaning for first time patients is two hours (I thought the office was kidding when they told me that on the phone… they weren’t). That two hours goes by quickly, though. The examination is first and takes about an hour with x-​rays, health history and a detailed explanation of each step. The second hour is cleaning and polishing. The best part — there are TVs on the ceiling! The office provides you with headphones. I found 3 episodes of Modern Family to be a wonderful distraction from all the whirring, buzzing and beeping sounds of the dental instruments. This visit doesn’t come cheap — in fact, I think it was the most expensive dental appointment I’ve ever had, but an overall positive experience. I was in very competent, friendly hands from start to finish and would definitely return.
