Located at the end of a dead end street and a quiet part of Causeway Bay, Bilibala caught me by surprise, just like all the other pups and bars in HK, it’s small but yet lively and fun. With a crowd of almost 30 people they didn’t have any problem of accommodating us. Great yakitori and cold Asahi, what else can one ask for?
Thank you Unilocal HK and please keep up the good work! Many thanks to the young entrepreneurs of Bilibala and Asahi for the wonderful place + food + beer!

Though the place itself is unassuming and a little hidden, I must admit that I’ve been impressed by the service, the atmosphere and, above all, the food. Isn’t it great when you find a restaurant that really cares about its clients by offering good quality food? This is what happened to me this evening and what will make me come back for more.
We tried a fair amount of different dishes — grilled ox tongue (40HKD), grilled scallops (58), fish ball with wasabi (48), kimchi (38), lychee wrapped in bacon (amazing!) (32), asparagus wrapped in bacon (35), grilled beef, grilled octopus, grilled cod, skewed chicken cartilages (28), maitake mushrooms (48)…and the list of delicacies goes on! The dishes are small, ‘tapa’ like, which allowed us to try many different flavours. According to one of the owners, they don’t use MSG neither added flavours. The meat is fresh and seasoned with Himalayan salt. Every Sunday evening there’s some live music and today there was a local band and a singer. I really liked the latter, her voice was amazing and it filled the place with good vibes.
Another plus is the open façade, so that you can eat at the bar outside.
So glad I discovered this place today, thanks Kevin for organizing and Bilibala for hosting us!

My first time visiting this place was attending the elite event hosted by Unilocal.It’s such an honor to be part of the event at Bilibala. Had a few chat with one of the owners Gisela, a very nice and pleasant lady, knowing that the bar was newly opened for 6 months only. The idea of the bar is to offer a place for friends to chit chat, chill and relax. I like the idea as I am a pretty laid back person and I like places no hustle & bustle which is really hard to find one in Hong Kong and this is the place.
Didn’t take pictures for the food but they are good though I didn’t try all of them during the event. I will definitely come back to try their food. I would like to recommend this bar to my friends and I will definitely visit this place again and explore more about it.
Oh right, there’s one thing I almost forget to say is they got live band performance on every Sunday 4pm-​7pm which I would recommend you to come, they are really good. and it’s hard to find live band nowadays in such a prime but quiet area…

Another awesome Unilocal event organised by our beloved community manager. The venue, Bilibala, is exceptional with live music, great food and a good vibe. The apple cider are great and the food is very good. The shop manager is so nice to offer us oyster tempura, grilled ox tongue, and various Yakimono. I had a good time and I will definitely bring my friends to visit Bilibala again.

What is not to like? Cold asahi behind the bar. Tasty yakitori dishes from the kitchen. Friendly HK Unilocalers consuming both the above. Topping it all off was some great live music. There can’t be many better ways to spend your Sunday afternoon. Many thanks to Kevin and the event sponsors for pulling this together.

Was very pleased with the food offerings, sponsored Asahi and Somersby drinks. My favourite was the chicken gizzard, and sea bass… grilled simply with Himalayan pink salt. What can be finer among Unilocal friends?

This is the best Unilocal event in Hong Kong so far. I’ve enjoyed every bit of the event — the food, the vibe, the people and the live music. The yakitori and other dishes from Bilibala are excellent, with a good variety offered to be paired with the Asahi and Somersby apple cider. I like the ox-​tongue, oyster and asparagus with pork the most, both fresh from the grill and perfectly seasoned. The other dishes like the lychee with pork and scallops looked great too, will certainly come back again to try those. Thanks Kevin for organising, and looking forward for more events to come.

It is my first Unilocal Elite event and I had a great time meeting everyone. Great venue and great food. Everything I tried was very delicious. My favorite was the steak cubes, oysters mushrooms, and the pimento peppers! Love the live music. Thank you Bilibala team for having us and thanks Kevin for the invite :)

Food:
The Somersby apple cider and all the yakitori and food were really good. The fishball (in sashimi shape) was really unexpected, because there was wasabi on it that was definitely stronger than I expected. The chicken wings were also really nice and flavorful with good texture. I liked the salad a lot because the sauce (peanut?) was really good mix with the pork and veggies.
Environment:
A nice off-​the-​beaten path spot in Causeway Bay. I really like the open windows so you have the option to sit inside or outside with bar seats and standing room.
Unilocal plus:
I liked that we were able to get photos printed with the Instagram hashtag. They also had «Unknown-​Performing Artists» perform which was great background music for the event with the mix of English and Chinese covers, with the option for requests. Very talented group.
Another great event from Unilocal and fun to share new discoveries with friends!

Excellent Unilocal Elite event. Fantastic pairing of drinks and food, with many yakitori dishes to try. I particularly enjoyed the bacon wrapped lychee, the scallops, and the shiso peppers. Everything was grilled and seasoned to perfection. Paired with a cold Asahi and good conversation with other Unilocalers, and there is nothing better for a rainy Sunday afternoon.
I am glad to have been able to attend this event, and hope to attend more like it in the future. Thank you so much Bilibala, Carlsberg team, musicians who played your sweet tunes, and Kevin from Unilocal for your hard work to put this awesome event together. Cheers!

I must be a blessed Unilocaler. Having attended awesome elite events by Katie B in Los Angeles to now Kevin L in Hong Kong! This was my first event in HK and I must say that I am greatly impressed.
The Bilibala venue was fantastic for a relaxing Sunday afternoon. Cold beer paired with delightful Yakitori with additions of mingling with HK elites and live music; not much more can be asked for! Much thanks to all the sponsors, organizers, and performers!
