Originated from Taiwan, the birth place of boba. There is a reason why ging cha have made it world wide with so many franchises across the world ! This is actually the only boba place that I drink when I have cravings. If you haven’t already know, boba means bubble milk tea. Gong cha sells a wide variety of speciality drink ranging from tea, juice, herbal tea and milk tea. As serious as Taiwanese are with their tea, you can personalise the level of sugar, ice cube level, tea type and toppings in your drink(e.g «bubbles», coconut jelly .etc) Personally, I like to get their oolong tea«milk top»(their specialty) with no sugar and added coconut jelly(19hkd) and green tea with herbal jelly, no sugar, less ice(17hkd). [yes a girl needs to have her option ] Next time you walk pass a store ! Be brave and give it a try ! Too many options and not sure what to get? Why not pick something random from their menu !

The last thing I want to drink in Hong Kong is some Taiwanese BBT. But Gong Cha is located so conveniently right next to Fu Kee Egg Waffle 豐記雞蛋仔美食. After indulging on Curry Fish Balls and Waffles, I need something to drink. There was a short wait for my drink but at least I can enjoy my treats from Fu Kee till my drink was ready. Lemon Kumquat has sliced of dried lemon peels inside was refreshing. Not a bad place for some Taiwanese drink but it is take out only.
