Had the pleasure of eating at Gough 40, this summer, whilst visiting my son. We had a wonderful dinner with my sons friends family. Everything from start to finish was extraordinary. Service was impeccable. The BYOB allowance enabled us to enjoy some truly exceptional wines (Champagne, red and white Burgundy) that paired perfectly with our meal. The recommended «tomahawk» ribeye was beyond word. Three different temperatures were requested and when carved, everything was perfectly cooked. Highly recommend Gough 40 and very much looking forward to our next visit.

The restaurant is beautifully situated on Gough street. It includes indoor and outdoor seating. The look of the restaurant is modern, clean and comfortable. The lunch menu is on a portable chalkboard and the choices are great. The presentation of our food is outstanding and everything tasted delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive. My friend and I had a superb experience!

Only one prior Unilocal review but Trip advisor loves it. So do we. Greeted, by name when we arrived. Comp bread, wine list, water, helpful hints all in the first few minutes. Looking good. And the food, whilst a it different was terrific. Pasta, lots with seafood, delicious veal and a small but delicious afters list. Good Australian wine (Coonawarra) and really great helpful service. Gough would love it. So did we.
