Koh Tomyums

I hate being asked what’s my favorite type of food? There are so many! The list of my favorite cuisines continues to grow the older and more experienced I become, however, Thai food has been on that list from the start.
If you are not a sharing person and/​or impatient than maybe Koh Tomyums in not for you. Why? It’s one of the most popular places in Disco Bay that is almost always full after 7, and there’s no better way to enjoy Thai food than to take a bit of this, a bit of that, and then some. If I had to recommend the perfect number of people to visit, I’d say 5.
The restaurant offers both indoor and outside seating. The interior is authentically decorated with those elongated Thai statues, golds and morons, and the staff all appear to be from Thailand, or are otherwise very good actresses.
When I visit it’s with the family. The first on our order list is always, without fail, the chicken with cashew nuts. If it was up to me it would also be the second and third! Next up is one of the curries, some morning glory, rice in a pineapple, and an array of starters. Normally we’ll order a bunch of satays and deep fried prawns. Our plates are cleaner by the end of meal than before we started. Just writing about the food has made me hungry!
