I am in the midst of planning my upcoming wedding, and now I am trying to hone in on the details. During a business trip, I decided to check out some bridal accessories on my day off. I was hoping I could find some«different» styles from what we have in the U.S. I discovered this place on Yahoo, since Google doesn’t work that great in China. I sent them an e-mail with the photo of the accessory that I drew me in to this place. I wanted to make an appointment to try it on! Their e-mail response is quick! They gladly responded that they have it in stock and that I can come try it on! If I liked it, I can take it home immediately. I was so excited and couldn’t wait to try it in on. Not only was the piece gorgeous, but I was glad that I could cross something off my list if I could really get this piece I was in love with! So. .. they got me through their doors! It’s on the 8th floor of a building that has some other random businesses. You enter in their shop, and it’s gorgeous. Everything is super clean and chic, unlike the rest of the building. I was a little scared walking in the building, and I was hoping that I found the right place. I was relieved when I got there, and saw a pleasantly beautiful spot. Lots of sparkles and pretty shiny things! I get there, and where the heck is that headband that I wanted to try on? THEYDIDNOTHAVEIT!!! If I would have known that, I would not have come. I was livid! They wasted my time to come here for the following reasons: — They didn’t have the headband that I wanted to try on, which they feature on their Facebook page by the way! If they don’t have that specific one, they need to take it off their page! That’s false advertising! — They wouldn’t tell me the vendor of the headband. They just kept telling me it was from a private designer from Canada — great, closer to home! Perhaps I can order it on my own directly from the vendor? It would have been much easier for me and faster if I could do that because she told me that it would take 2 months for them to get it to Hong Kong(may be, not guaranteed) — IF they got it in 2 months, I would have to come pay for it in person and pick it up in person! They don’t accept payments via phone and they don’t ship. WTF?!? So needless to say, they aren’t flexible — If I wanted to expedite the shipping to Hong Kong, they asked if I could pay more! That’s not my problem, that’s their problem. As a business, they should cater to the customer and our needs. 2 months was just NOT acceptable since my wedding is right up around that timeframe — They claim to carry Jennifer Behr accessories, but when I looked up the stockists online, I didn’t see any vendors in Hong Kong: Now the reason why I didn’t give them 1 star is because of Dorothy. Dorothy was the one who helped me, and she was super nice! She showed me some headbands and let me try a ton of them on. She also took lots of photographs for me to see how I look in them. This was useful for me to look back and see what I like/don’t like. So that’s a plus! She was nice and she allowed photographs! I also like how she was, for the most part, honest with me. She told me not to get my heart set on the headband because she doesn’t think they can deliver. I can appreciate that! However, the other lady, was such a brown noser and was just trying to «sell» me something, anything… Glad she wasn’t the one helping me or I would have left much sooner! If this is the ONLY bridal accessory place for Hong Kong brides, like they claim, then I feel bad for the HK brides. There are places in the U.S. that offer far better customer service and options. The accessories they have here are pretty, but like they said to my face, «your style is much different than the Hong Kong/Asian bride». That’s true — it’s probably much different from the American bride as well. But that’s OK — I know what I like, and I am going to find it elsewhere. I spoke to one of my other friends who is planning her wedding. She stopped by here as well, and she had a similar experience. We both thought the pricing was expensive. It was either the same or more than what we could purchase at home in the U.S.
