Been seeing these «pillow toasts» (that’s what they’re called on the menu) everywhere and have wanted to try one! The Le Grand Pokka Café has a nice atmosphere to it, and is accessible for those not entering past security.
We waited about 25 minutes for our dessert to arrive — which was very disappointing and frustrating as we were on a time crunch. The service was slow and there weren’t many people around either (it was about 4pm when we arrived).
The Halzelnut pillow toast on the other hand was good! The toast itself was well-​done– perfect crispyness on the outside and softness on the inside. The Halzelnut icing was not too sweet either, and the ice cream on the side was perfect to complement. However, I wished they out the ice cream on top of the top, and added one more scoop since the ratio of ice cream to toast to icing was off.
Good, but not great overall.

A little pricey for the standards of food they serve here… Because of the nice décor and atmosphere I expected their food to match up to that as well. Toast was so hard I couldn’t even bite into it more than once. Going across the way has a HK café with delicious food that is a much better deal. Would not come back here unless I had to.

Been here many times during various periods of the day. The menu is Japanese in style with Western elements such steaks, pastas and desserts. Menu is quite diverse as well as the coffee selection.
I like there breakfast here as they are quite substantial and also have their version of the Hong Kong style breakfast.
Lunch is good and can get really packed during the weekdays with various people working in or around the airport.
Dinners are also good and a bit more relaxed as there are not as much people then.
Weather you had dinner here or somewhere else, I desserts are good accompanied by one of their numerous coffee selection.
The service use to be very good and attentive, but are really on a steep decline in my most few visits. It is evident that even the most senior front of the house staff who were ones «stars» are not shining any they use too.
