Great little coffee shop! The coffee here is worth stopping in to enjoy. I like the Anericano here but recommend putting it into a to-go cup. The large has three shots of espresso so it’s a great way to get the pulse going when you’re adjusting from jet lag. If you want a quick bite to eat I recommend the spinach quiche. Only one mark down here. I got it to go and it was basically placed in a bag upside down with no wrapping. There’s usually enough seating available if you want to chill or people watch. The employees here are courteous and helpful. Although it’s within the area of the Citygate outlet shops if you’re staying at the Novotel you can charge tour purchases to your room.

Expresso with steamed milk is wonderful. I normally take my coffee sweet but I didn’t have to add any sugar. Plus it was about $ 3.50 U.S.

Moccato is a small little café in Novotel Citygate, but is actually in the Tung Chung outlet mall. I was there today and walked past it twice — both times, it was pretty packed. Finally, after dinner, my mother and I suggested that we have some coffee before heading home and by then, the café was much emptier. Actually, about two hours ago we had gone in and looked at what they had to offer — there were a couple of salad wraps that looks pretty good. When we were back after dinner, all the wraps had been sold out! Not that we would have wanted one anyway though — we were too full. Their cakes were surprisingly not too expensive. We got a blueberry cheesecake that was $ 28, and a mango pudding that for some reason was only $ 18! It wasn’t super tiny, so I felt it was suspiciously cheap. We also got a medium hot latte to share. Both cakes were pretty good — I was skeptical about the mango pudding and thought that there would be something gravely wrong with it, but it was not bad at all — the pudding was nice and mango-ey. I liked the cheesecake better though; it was very creamy and light, and the mix of blueberry jam and blueberries on top was a nice complement to the cheesecake. My mother really liked the cheesecake and said that we should definitely get it it we are back the next time. Unfortunately, the latte was a bit of a let-down — it wasn’t hot enough, and any coffee that is just merely warm is no good to me. If you’re spending a day at the outlets, a coffee break really is necessary and Moccato is as good as it gets. There’s a good variety of salads, like smoked salmon and roast chicken, and the wraps looked great too. The cakes are great, and inexpensive too compared to other cafés, and it was just a pity that the coffee wasn’t served hot enough. Don’t give Moccato a miss if you’re here — your tired, all-shopped-out legs, and your taste buds(and your wallet if you’re getting a cake!) will thank you!
