Pressed Juices

After a workout I really appreciate consuming some fresh ingredients. I tried their zucchini pasta today and was pleasantly surprised of all the flavors. I will have to forewarn folks who don’t like garlic. The dressing and pasta itself had bits of garlic in it. But a little garlic never hurt anyone so don’t let that stop you from trying it. They also have a good variety of fresh pressed juices and I’m happy to have found them.

Love the Earth series. Still wonder how the cleansing juice have such over-​price positioning here in the Kong. Yes, it is more than primely located on Hollywood Road.
I like their wide range of selections, recalls the scene in NYC that DIY juices are as normal as frozen yogurt. The series named wisely after all the natural being. Depending on where the plants/​fruit/​herbs/​veggie grow, the name indicated the birth places of them.
I like the staff there, rather helpful and cheerful. She knew their product well and can different cleansing and normal juices quite well. Do not turn her down for the tasting guys.

So happy to find a cold pressed juice bar near me and even better near where I work out! Just two blocks down from pure fitness on Hollywood road in soho, lies the Australian brand cold pressed juice bar: Pressed Juice. At first I thought it was the same brand as the one in California but I learned that there is a slight difference in their branding. This one is Australian and called Pressed Juice, the American brand is Pressed Juicery. Subtle difference but good news is nobody gets sued for having the same name/​brand!
Pressed juice makes their juices cold pressed and fresh daily. I asked the girl who works there what they do with the left overs and she told me they throw it away! I probably expressed more than I should have when I learned what a shame that is. She reassured me that the left overs in Australia gets donated to charity. Why can’t you do the same in Hong Kong, I wondered. Anywho I selected a greens 5 which has carrot, cucumber, lettuce, celery, parsley, spinach, kale, lemon, parsley and ginger. Yummy!!! Tastes delicious and is superbly nutritious for my daily intake! Love this place. The space is small but can seat a few comfortably if you would like to drink inside the store.

Pressed Juices opened only a couple of months ago on the corner of Hollywood Road and Aberdeen Street. The store is very bare with not much more than a central table, usually occupied by a member of staff with their laptop, and the juice fridge.
I’ve tried a few options from Pressed Juices and have become a fan of grabbing an Almond Mylk on my way to work which is easy with the 8.00am weekday opening time. My Almond Mylk of choice is the original which features almonds, dates, filtered water, sea salt and vanilla — it’s a seriously delicious yet healthy breakfast milkshake that I genuinely look forward to each day.
What I don’t like however, are the smoothies, which are almost too thick to be consumed as a drink. I also found the taste of the Smooth Vitality smoothie unpleasant… although I did feel like it was extremely healthy.
The juices should be consumed within 24 hours and should be kept refrigerated at all times. If you’re not going to drink your juice or be within reach of a fridge within thirty minutes of purchase, there will be problems, or so the staff say. To avoid this, you can order the juices to be delivered, but don’t attempt this in-​store. No, no… they’ll stop you in your tracks and insist that you visit their website, even if the store is completely empty and you are willing and ready to hand over your money for a week’s worth of bottles. There are memberships and juice cleanses available too but again, refer to the website.
Despite Pressed Juices seemingly wanting to put you off purchasing their product, I will keep popping in for my morning Mylk and will probably refer to their website and hook myself up with a delivery order. The staff seem to really understand their product and are committed to quality ingredients. Even if the end result isn’t always delicious, it’s most certainly nutritious and you’ll feed good about yourself for drinking down a bottle.
