Regal Oriental Hotel

Rooms are a bit tight but the beds, bathroom and room were decently clean.
I did come across a small roach skittering across my desk so that kinda took off some stars.
Other than that the room was fairly comfortable. A/​C kicks in fairly quick and temps drop nicely. Beds have a good firmness to them.
The front desk and concierge was polite and courteous; they answered most of my information questions for transit and such. There are shuttle buses to and from the airport, also if you walk a bit further down the street, the regular public buses are available.
There is always a line of taxis in front of the hotel so if you don’t mind spending a bit, they are available.
All in all, the location is optimal, service is excellent, and rooms comfy.

I had a great one night stay at the Regal Oriental Hotel. If you’re interested in the Kowloon City area, this is a good place to be. If you’re looking to spend most of your time in Hong Kong Island, however, this might be a bit far. It’s about a HK$ 30 taxi ride from the Lok Fu MTR station to the hotel — probably not walking distance with luggage. You could also otherwise take a taxi from the Mong Kok East station if you’re arriving via subway.
The hotel itself is beautiful, and you get what you pay for. There’s concierge service, a professional front desk, and a spacious lobby. The front desk workers are very helpful and kind. There are 4 elevators and 14 floors, so the wait for the elevator is never very long. Although I booked a standard room, I actually got upgraded to an executive club room, which was extremely luxurious, so my review may be quite biased with a unique experience. Standard price, high quality. Everything in the room was clean, simple, and modern. It was actually difficult to leave the comfort of the room. I also love how environmentally friendly it is. You have to put your key card in a holder in order for the electricity to run. When you leave the room, you take your key card with you, and all of the lights will turn off automatically. Cleaning staff are also very friendly! The gym (3/​F) is a bit small, but it has everything you need, and it was empty when I went in – not a popular area.
Lastly, there’s plenty to eat around the area. When you exit the hotel, make a left on Sa Po Road, and if you keep walking, you’ll find plenty of hole in the wall restaurants!
