Stormies

My sister works as a pharmacist for a chain company in the States, so naturally during every Spring and Fall, she would advocate Flu Shots for the whole family. As much as I wanted to support my sister in her career, I didn’t see the fascination with vaccination (teehee). And besides, my body cringes with syringes (teehee x2). Just because she’s a pharmacist and I’m family, it doesn’t make me a brother she can bother (teehee hat-​trick!).
That’s why I almost ran home when my sister suggested syringe shots again when we were at Stormies at LKF.
«Calm down lil bro,» she reassures, «The only thing this syringe vaccinates against is boredom, and the only side effect is turning up.»
Well I never minded turning/​going up on a Tuesday, especially since Stormies is kinda choosey. So with just $ 135 HKD in her pockets, my sister brought back three Syringe Shots ($ 45 each). One red, one yellow, one green. The syringes looked like Fruit Loops but there’s alcohol in the power within.
You can either inject the syringe’s entire content to your mouth in a burst of ecstasy, or babysit it while taking numerous Snapchats. Either way, its effect is profound. Though Stormies was only our first stop, I felt the buzz of a springtime bumblebee.
«A flu shot prepares one for the uptick in common illness,» my sister stated in an almost poetic fashion, «A Syringe Jello Shots prepares one for the LKF rachet business.»
I was too buzzed to comment.

Stormies is LKF… LKF is Stormies…
That may be an overstatement but ask anyone who has spent enough time in LKF and they will certainly know Stormies. Being right at the top of the «strip», you always get a crowd gathering outside the bar standing around the corner stretching all the way towards LKF hotel.
What’s so special about the place? Well I think its part heritage and part atmosphere. Stormies has been around here for ages so everyone knows where it is and this spot is great for meeting people and people watching for that matter. As the night progresses on you will see a growing crowd gathering outside this place just chatting and having a good time. The music spreads on to the street and the entire corner is turned into a dance floor. Its like clubbing on the street.
Drinks? I just remember a lot jäger bombs and the biggest vodka jelly syringe I have ever seen in my life. The syringe was about the size of a 500ml coke bottle and it surely put me into a party mood.
To many people this place may be a bit past its prime and aimed at an older group of people (maybe); but every time I walked past this place I just remember the vodka jellys– and that’s good enough me.
