Really cute place, good place to do work and has outlets! You’ll often find a lot of HKU students here working as well. It also has a calm vibe, and a lot of assorted sorts of tea.

Environment: Relaxing, tucked away spot perfect to catch up with friends or just sit and read. Food: Having been to the Tai Ping Shan Street shop before, I was excited to check out this newer location. I had the Masala Chai which I had at the other location before and still loved it! Also tried the Hojicha Cheesecake. Great tea taste and soft cheesecake. Overall: Would definitely return!

Having been to their original store in SOHO and always seemingly to miss out on the cakes I was determined to have one of their signature cakes. The SYP store is up the road(hill) from one of the HKU exits(sorry didn’t pay attention to which one). The store is very large and roomy compared to their tiny space in Tai Ping Shan so I was pleasantly surprised — it reminded me of the cafes back home in Sydney and more importantly, a full cake display! Went with the green tea cheesecake and it was delicious. The only disappointment was the base of the cheesecake where I was expecting a crunchy texture but instead it was soft and melded together with the rest of the cake. So a 4.5 for me but since the space is so awesome will round up instead of down. Will definitely be back when I’m next in the area!
